Message: Why We Put Our Faith And Trust In The LORD

Hello My Friend,

While the entire Bible gives us little bits and pieces of what things are going to be like when Jesus does return, there are many books that give us great detail about it, and Isaiah is one of them. While we do not know the day in which He will return, we do know that He is one day closer to that day. Jesus said it best Himself, “It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power. But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.” – Acts 1:7-8.

after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you:” The second we put our faith and trust in Jesus Christ as our Saviour we not only receive eternal life, meaning our soul will live eternally in heaven until Jesus returns, a then our body will resurrect to reunite with our soul, and we will receive our new glorified, and immortal body. “For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.” – I Corinthians 15:53-54. Now, one does not have to look too hard to notice that evil is taking place all over the world, and those who are content with it are simply trying to compensate on it all. God’s warnings are everywhere, judgment is coming, not only to Israel who reject Christ, but to all nations who reject Christ. Through Isaiah, God foretells His judgment upon the entire earth.

Behold, the LORD maketh the earth empty, and maketh it waste, and turneth it upside down, and scattereth abroad the inhabitants thereof. And it shall be, as with the people, so with the priest; as with the servant, so with his master; as with the maid, so with her mistress; as with the buyer, so with the seller; as with the lender, so with the borrower; as with the taker of usury, so with the giver of usury to him. The land shall be utterly emptied, and utterly spoiled: for the LORD hath spoken this word. And it shall come to pass in that day, that the LORD shall punish the host of the high ones that are on high, and the kings of the earth upon the earth. And they shall be gathered together, as prisoners are gathered in the pit, and shall be shut up in the prison, and after many days shall they be visited. Then the moon shall be confounded, and the sun ashamed, when the LORD of hosts shall reign in mount Zion, and in Jerusalem, and before his ancients gloriously.” – Isaiah 24:1-3,21-23.

and shall be shut up in the prison,” This is when Satan, and his minions will be cast into prison for a thousand years, the dead in Christ would have already arose, and been taken up into the clouds, while those still living who put their faith and trust in Him will join them, and Christ reigns from Jerusalem. “And I saw an angel come down from heaven, having the key of the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand. And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years, And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that he must be loosed a little season.” – Revelation 20:1-3.

While the destruction of the world is inevitable, we must not let it consume us, God has His people here for one reason and one reason only, to further His Kingdom, as long as we are here, we are being used for that purpose. One day, all of this will be over, and we will not have to fear anything, and we will thank God for all that He has done, including the chastening that we got. Nothing we learn in the New Testament about the end times is new, they learned about it too in the Old Testament. When the tabernacle and temple were built there was a place just for God to dwell, a veil separated God from the priests because they could not look directly at God. Through Isaiah, God reveals the day in which the veil would be taken away.

O LORD, thou art my God; I will exalt thee, I will praise thy name; for thou hast done wonderful things; thy counsels of old are faithfulness and truth. For thou hast made of a city an heap; of a defenced city a ruin: a palace of strangers to be no city; it shall never be built. Therefore shall the strong people glorify thee, the city of the terrible nations shall fear thee. For thou hast been a strength to the poor, a strength to the needy in his distress, a refuge from the storm, a shadow from the heat, when the blast of the terrible ones is as a storm against the wall. And he will destroy in this mountain the face of the covering cast over all people, and the vail that is spread over all nations. He will swallow up death in victory; and the Lord GOD will wipe away tears from off all faces; and the rebuke of his people shall he take away from off all the earth: for the LORD hath spoken it. And it shall be said in that day, Lo, this is our God; we have waited for him, and he will save us: this is the LORD; we have waited for him, we will be glad and rejoice in his salvation.” – Isaiah 25:1-4,7-9.

For thou hast made of a city an heap;” There can be an entire message on this chapter alone as every bit of it is about Jesus. Can we praise God for destroying a city that has been to the liking’s of Sodom and Gomorrah? Yes we can. God’s judgments are faithful and true, He will be forever faithful to those who put their faith and trust in Him, even if the mess up time and time again. Jesus swallowed up death in victory when He died on the cross and arose three days later. We are already redeemed by the blood He shed when He died for our sins, that would have been enough, but God took it a step further by proving that even death cannot separate us from Him if we put our faith and trust in Him. And the veil that separated God from man was removed the second Christ died and His blood shed for us “Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus, By a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh;” – Hebrews 10:19-20.

By a new and living way,” You know, the animal sacrifices were meant for those who put their faith and trust in the LORD to have a way for them to seek forgiveness and redemption, having acknowledged that they sinned against their God. The law was not given to those who are faithful, while we truly sinners as we carry around this sinful flesh nature, it was given to those who could care less that they are sinning against God, and do so proudly. By Jesus, the Son of God, and God Himself, becoming the spotless, unblemished lamb to be sacrificed as the atonement for the ones who acknowledged their sin, He made redemption permanent. Putting our faith and trust in the LORD is more than just acknowledging that He died on the cross to save us, it is also confessing that we have sinned, and need Him to redeem us from that sin. Through Isaiah, God reveals this amazing prophecy.

LORD, in trouble have they visited thee, they poured out a prayer when thy chastening was upon them. Like as a woman with child, that draweth near the time of her delivery, is in pain, and crieth out in her pangs; so have we been in thy sight, O LORD. We have been with child, we have been in pain, we have as it were brought forth wind; we have not wrought any deliverance in the earth; neither have the inhabitants of the world fallen. Thy dead men shall live, together with my dead body shall they arise. Awake and sing, ye that dwell in dust: for thy dew is as the dew of herbs, and the earth shall cast out the dead. Come, my people, enter thou into thy chambers, and shut thy doors about thee: hide thyself as it were for a little moment, until the indignation be overpast. For, behold, the LORD cometh out of his place to punish the inhabitants of the earth for their iniquity: the earth also shall disclose her blood, and shall no more cover her slain.” – Isaiah 26:16-21.

together with my dead body shall they arise.” Because Christ died a sinless death, and the arose three days later, all who put their faith and trust in Him, confess they have sinned, and need Him to save them shall arise together with Him. While the world suffers the wrath of God for their evil, those who have put their faith and trust in the LORD will be hidden in His chambers, until His anger subsides, and not only the earth is judged, so is Satan.

In that day the LORD with his sore and great and strong sword shall punish leviathan the piercing serpent, even leviathan that crooked serpent; and he shall slay the dragon that is in the sea. By this therefore shall the iniquity of Jacob be purged; and this is all the fruit to take away his sin; when he maketh all the stones of the altar as chalkstones that are beaten in sunder, the groves and images shall not stand up. Yet the defenced city shall be desolate, and the habitation forsaken, and left like a wilderness: there shall the calf feed, and there shall he lie down, and consume the branches thereof. When the boughs thereof are withered, they shall be broken off: the women come, and set them on fire: for it is a people of no understanding: therefore he that made them will not have mercy on them, and he that formed them will shew them no favour. And it shall come to pass in that day, that the LORD shall beat off from the channel of the river unto the stream of Egypt, and ye shall be gathered one by one, O ye children of Israel. And it shall come to pass in that day, that the great trumpet shall be blown, and they shall come which were ready to perish in the land of Assyria, and the outcasts in the land of Egypt, and shall worship the LORD in the holy mount at Jerusalem.” – Isaiah 27:1,9-13.

and he shall slay the dragon that is in the sea.” This is the great day when Satan will be no more, after being released from the prison. Then the Jews will finally recognize Christ as the Messiah, and all who put their faith and trust in Him will gather one by one to Jerusalem, where they will forever be with the LORD. Amen! “And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison, And shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle: the number of whom is as the sand of the sea. And they went up on the breadth of the earth, and compassed the camp of the saints about, and the beloved city: and fire came down from God out of heaven, and devoured them. And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.” – Revelation 20:7-10. Amen And Amen!

Jesus Christ Magnified: “Thy dead men shall live, together with my dead body shall they arise. Awake and sing, ye that dwell in dust: for thy dew is as the dew of herbs, and the earth shall cast out the dead.” – Isaiah 26:19.

Today’s Prayer: God, While we do not know the hour in which You will tell Your Son that it is time to return, take up those who put their faith and trust in Him, and judge the earth, we do know that we will be one of those who do get to go up in the clouds, hidden, as we await our new permanent dwelling. Many will not know this because they have no knowledge of Your Son. Lord, You have us here to be a witness, and the only way we can do that is by living our lives as the examples you need us to be so that the world can see Jesus in us. Lead us and guide us, teach us Your Law, and to walk in it, not for our salvation, but that we might be vessels of honor who may be able to lead a soul to You before the day He judges all the earth. I ask these things in Your name, Jesus. Amen.

God Bless You, I am praying for you,

Christina
