Message: The Prayer Of Faith

Hello My Friend,

Waver, to move one way and to the other. You know, quite often, our faith in God wavers, in the same day we can have complete faith in Him and wonder why He has left. You want to know something amazing? God’s faith never wavers, no matter how often we cry or complain that God is not with us, He loves us the same, and He is always faithful to keep His promises to us. The second we received His Son, Jesus Christ as our Saviour He makes a covenant with us, and promises to never leave nor forsake us, no matter how much we waver. That means, no matter what we do in the flesh, our soul is tucked safe in the arms of Jesus, and His love for us never wavers. God never changes or moves, he is forever on His throne looking down on His people. “The LORD reigneth, he is clothed with majesty; the LORD is clothed with strength, wherewith he hath girded himself: the world also is stablished, that it cannot be moved. Thy throne is established of old: thou art from everlasting.” – Psalm 93:1-2.

Believe it or not, God does speak to us one on one, especially through His Word, He may have used Holy Spirit inspired men to pen down His thoughts, but He tells us every day what He wants from us and the grief He feels when His people do not listen to Him. Hear, O my people, and I will testify unto thee: O Israel, if thou wilt hearken unto me; There shall no strange god be in thee; neither shalt thou worship any strange god. I am the LORD thy God, which brought thee out of the land of Egypt: open thy mouth wide, and I will fill it. But my people would not hearken to my voice; and Israel would none of me. So I gave them up unto their own hearts’ lust: and they walked in their own counsels. Oh that my people had hearkened unto me, and Israel had walked in my ways! I should soon have subdued their enemies, and turned my hand against their adversaries.– Psalm 81:8-14.

I should soon have subdued their enemies,” God cannot keep us safe if we do not walk in His ways. Rules of any kind are never meant to keep us from living they are meant to keep us from danger. While God certainly does everything He can to prevent us from walking into danger in the first place, He cannot keep us from the fallout that comes from walking into dangerous situations. However, His mercy does endure, which is why Jesus is right there when we come to Him for help. “Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.” – Matthew 11:28-29.

Are you crying out to God with no answers? Does it feel as though nothing ever changes and that you will never see an end to the circumstances you are facing? We have all been there, which is why there are so many Psalms written that address this. “Thou hast laid me in the lowest pit, in darkness, in the deeps. Thy wrath lieth hard upon me, and thou hast afflicted me with all thy waves. Selah. Thou hast put away mine acquaintance far from me; thou hast made me an abomination unto them: I am shut up, and I cannot come forth. Mine eye mourneth by reason of affliction: LORD, I have called daily upon thee, I have stretched out my hands unto thee. LORD, why castest thou off my soul? why hidest thou thy face from me? I am afflicted and ready to die from my youth up: while I suffer thy terrors I am distracted. Thy fierce wrath goeth over me; thy terrors have cut me off.” – Psalm 88:6-9,14-16.

while I suffer thy terrors I am distracted.” The circumstances we face, especially when we are being afflicted, often distract us from what is really going on, lack of faith in God changing the situation. Let me tell you, there are times when I ask God for something then question why I asked Him for it, even talking myself into believing that He would never do it in the first place. While we only need faith the size of a mustard seed to see God move mountains for us, if we have any doubts that He cannot or will not do it, He will not do it. God wants our complete faith in Him, even if it is the size of a mustard seed. Until we change our heart, He will not hear us. “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. For by it the elders obtained a good report. Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear. But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.” – Hebrews 11:1-3,6.

Life is too precious to let it all slip away, look around you, no matter where you are in life there is something to rejoice about, something God has pulled you through. What makes you think that He will not pull you through this time? If you knew that your life was coming to an end within a few weeks, what would you do? While some may get crazy and do some wicked things, most of us would take the time to love, enjoy, and experience things we have missed. Do not wait, rejoice in the fact that you are saved, and give thanks to God, who really has given us more than we deserve, and saved us from much more than hell.

A Psalm or Song for the sabbath day. It is a good thing to give thanks unto the LORD, and to sing praises unto thy name, O most High: To shew forth thy lovingkindness in the morning, and thy faithfulness every night, Upon an instrument of ten strings, and upon the psaltery; upon the harp with a solemn sound. For thou, LORD, hast made me glad through thy work: I will triumph in the works of thy hands. The righteous shall flourish like the palm tree: he shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon. Those that be planted in the house of the LORD shall flourish in the courts of our God. They shall still bring forth fruit in old age; they shall be fat and flourishing; To shew that the LORD is upright: he is my rock, and there is no unrighteousness in him.– Psalm 92:1-4,12-15.

Those that be planted in the house of the LORD” While we are consumed in the things we lost or do not have, imagine where we would be if we did have them without Christ. We are planted in His house forever because we are trusting Him as our only Saviour. There is nothing or no one who can change that, so instead of living a depressed life, life a rejoiced life knowing that when it is all over, you will be with Jesus. “Behold, we count them happy which endure. Ye have heard of the patience of Job, and have seen the end of the Lord; that the Lord is very pitiful, and of tender mercy. But above all things, my brethren, swear not, neither by heaven, neither by the earth, neither by any other oath: but let your yea be yea; and your nay, nay; lest ye fall into condemnation. Is any among you afflicted? let him pray. Is any merry? let him sing psalms. Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord: And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.” – James 5:11-15.

Jesus Christ Magnified: Today Jesus is revealed the rock (Ps 92:15). Jesus is the Rock upon which every Christian stands upon.

Today’s Prayer: God, Thank You for loving us so much that You want constant contact with us, You want to hear or pains, our sorrows, our joys, and praises to You, and You definitely want to hear our pleas. Sometimes we hinder You from hearing us as well as speaking to us, Lord, lead us and guide us, reveal anything that hinders You from speaking to us. Give us the wisdom to figure out anything that might be keeping You from listening to us, and the strength to walk away from it. In Jesus” name, Amen

God Bless You, I am praying for you,

Christina
