Message: The Cure For The Incurable Bruise

Hello My Friend,

It is a known truth that from the second we are forming in our mothers belly we have or will face ailments. Whether it be and illness of our body, mind, or spirit, we will need a physician at one point in our lives. The most healthiest person in the world, according to what modern medicine believes, can wake up to a heart attack, dementia, or depression. You see, there is only so much we can do in our own abilities, we are, but human after all, and while God amazingly gives us physicians and medicines that can heal, or help us endure any ailment, He is the great and ultimate physician. God is the only one who heals us, and sooner or later, we all face death, but only those who are whole will be able to survive. “They that be whole need not a physician, but they that are sick. But go ye and learn what that meaneth, I will have mercy, and not sacrifice: for I am not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.” – Matthew 9:12b-13.

They that be whole need not a physician,” There really are people in this world who think they have never sinned, especially if they are an active member of a church. Jesus came here to save sinners, which by the way, we all are, those who refuse to accept that will never be healed, their bruises are incurable, and their wounds are grievous. This was the state of Israel, their bruises were incurable because they refused to take the medicine of repentance, their wounds were grievous because Samaria had long before been taken over and scattered by the Assyrians, and most of the Judah was carried off to Babylon. And while God send them off in that strange land to live peaceably while they were there, that did not mean they were off the hook for living the way they were. Through Jeremiah, God compares their captivity to a woman giving birth.

Ask ye now, and see whether a man doth travail with child? wherefore do I see every man with his hands on his loins, as a woman in travail, and all faces are turned into paleness? Alas! for that day is great, so that none is like it: it is even the time of Jacob’s trouble; but he shall be saved out of it. For it shall come to pass in that day, saith the LORD of hosts, that I will break his yoke from off thy neck, and will burst thy bonds, and strangers shall no more serve themselves of him: But they shall serve the LORD their God, and David their king, whom I will raise up unto them. Therefore fear thou not, O my servant Jacob, saith the LORD; neither be dismayed, O Israel: for, lo, I will save thee from afar, and thy seed from the land of their captivity; and Jacob shall return, and shall be in rest, and be quiet, and none shall make him afraid. For I am with thee, saith the LORD, to save thee: though I make a full end of all nations whither I have scattered thee, yet will I not make a full end of thee: but I will correct thee in measure, and will not leave thee altogether unpunished. For thus saith the LORD, Thy bruise is incurable, and thy wound is grievous.” – Jeremiah 30:6-12.

that I will break his yoke from off thy neck,While God is referring to the king of Babylon, He promises to break them from the yoke He had put them under and restore Israel’s land back to them, it would not be before they were corrected for their sin. You know, when we get under the yoke of Christ He does cure us from our sins, in other words, He makes us whole or complete through His righteousness. Those who believe that they are not sinners, that they are whole by their own righteousness, are under the yoke of Satan. While he has no more power that God does for the choices we make, he can keep us held in the disease of our own self righteousness. Yes, it is a disease, it is full of pride that says, “I am whole! I saved myself by my own righteousness! I don’t need Jesus!” What a day it will be when Israel finally recognizes Jesus as King, and all His believers come together as one nation of Israel. Although it will not be until Christ returns, and the tribulation begins that they will recognize Him. They are crying now for their incurable bruises, God promises to restore their health.

Why criest thou for thine affliction? thy sorrow is incurable for the multitude of thine iniquity: because thy sins were increased, I have done these things unto thee. Therefore all they that devour thee shall be devoured; and all thine adversaries, every one of them, shall go into captivity; and they that spoil thee shall be a spoil, and all that prey upon thee will I give for a prey. For I will restore health unto thee, and I will heal thee of thy wounds, saith the LORD; because they called thee an Outcast, saying, This is Zion, whom no man seeketh after. Thus saith the LORD; Behold, I will bring again the captivity of Jacob’s tents, and have mercy on his dwellingplaces; and the city shall be builded upon her own heap, and the palace shall remain after the manner thereof. And out of them shall proceed thanksgiving and the voice of them that make merry: and I will multiply them, and they shall not be few; I will also glorify them, and they shall not be small. And ye shall be my people, and I will be your God.” – Jeremiah 30:15-19,23.

For I will restore health unto thee, and I will heal thee of thy wounds,” Remember when Adam and Eve sinned, and God confronted them, he said this, “And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.” – Genesis 3:15. God was talking to Satan here, sin does bruise us, it is incurable, and sends more people to their death than we can imagine. But God sent Jesus, who bruised Satan’s head when He died a sinless death on the cross of us, was buried, and arose three days later. When we come to Christ, our great Physician, we are made whole, complete, healed from each and every wound caused by sin, and it bruises Satan under our feet. “Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them. For they that are such serve not our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly; and by good words and fair speeches deceive the hearts of the simple. For your obedience is come abroad unto all men. I am glad therefore on your behalf: but yet I would have you wise unto that which is good, and simple concerning evil. And the God of peace shall bruise Satan under your feet shortly. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. Amen.” – Romans 16:17-20.

For they that are such serve not our Lord Jesus Christ,” Those who tell you that you are saved by your own righteousness, or that you need Jesus and to remain sinless to keep your salvation are not of Christ nor do they represent Him. Refraining from sin has nothing to do with keeping our salvation, we are saved by grace alone through our faith in Jesus Christ alone, period! Nevertheless, it is wise that we keep ourselves for evil because it gives us peace with God, and bruises Satan as he has no power on us. While the consequence of sin never changes, it all leads to death and hell, we do have a way out, and that is Jesus Christ. Through Jeremiah, God rejoices over the day that He will restore a remnant of Israel, reaffirming that we are accountable of our own sin.

At the same time, saith the LORD, will I be the God of all the families of Israel, and they shall be my people. For thus saith the LORD; Sing with gladness for Jacob, and shout among the chief of the nations: publish ye, praise ye, and say, O LORD, save thy people, the remnant of Israel. For I have satiated the weary soul, and I have replenished every sorrowful soul. In those days they shall say no more, The fathers have eaten a sour grape, and the children’s teeth are set on edge. But every one shall die for his own iniquity: every man that eateth the sour grape, his teeth shall be set on edge. Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah: Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; which my covenant they brake, although I was an husband unto them, saith the LORD: But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the LORD, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people.” – Jeremiah 31:1,7,25,29-33.

For I have satiated the weary soul,Satiate; To fill; to satisfy appetite or desire; to feed to the full, or to furnish enjoyment to the extent of desire. It is Christ who satisfies the appetite of the weary soul when we eat His bread, which gives it life. It is Christ who feeds our weary spirit to the full when we walk in His Spirit, and it is Christ who furnishes our weary body with enjoyment of the things we desire when we walk with Him. There is nothing more comforting, convicting, or convincing than in the reading of God’s Word, it truly is alive when we read it, if we are saved, and to quote Jesus when He was tempted by Satan, “It is written, That man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God.” – Luke 4:4b. Jesus is not only the Word of God, He is the bread of life, who gives life to every soul, and without His food we will surely die for our incurable bruise. “As the living Father hath sent me, and I live by the Father: so he that eateth me, even he shall live by me. This is that bread which came down from heaven: not as your fathers did eat manna, and are dead: he that eateth of this bread shall live for ever.” – John 6:57-58.

Jesus Christ Magnified: “For it shall come to pass in that day, saith the LORD of hosts, that I will break his yoke from off thy neck, and will burst thy bonds, and strangers shall no more serve themselves of him: But they shall serve the LORD their God, and David their king, whom I will raise up unto them.” – Jeremiah 30:8-9.

Today’s Prayer: God, You made a promise the second that man was bruised by sin that You would cure and heal the wound. You fulfilled that promise by sending Your Son, and now all who believe in and receive Him are not only reconciled with You, we are restored, healed, and cured of eternal death. We belong to You, and nothing we or anyone else can do to us will take us away from You. Sin can still separate us from You, and yes, You will chasten us when we do, but You love us too much to leave us the way we are, and that is an incredible revelation. Lord, We surely cannot live by bread alone, we need that Manna from heaven, the bread of Your Word to sustain our mind, body, and spirit. Lead us and guide us, fill us with Your words, power, mercy, and grace, let us rejoice as we are comforted, convicted, and moved to live through Your Word in knowing that You will come for all of us, and bring us to Israel. I ask these things in Your name, Jesus. Amen!

In Jesus’ name, amen.

God Bless You, I am praying for you,

Christina
