Message: Whose Hope The LORD Is

Hello My Friend,

When I was a little girl I was playing in the front seat of the car my dad was working on, he asked me to turn the key, and start the car. What I did next was what was the cause of my punishment, I grabbed the column, and shifted the car in reverse while he was under the car. My dad quickly got from under the car, pulled me out, scolded me, and I was not allowed to get in a car again while he was working on it. You see, rules are made to not only keep us from getting hurt, they are for the safety of others as well. I know we are in a generation that cares less about what happens to the next guy, but there are still a few out who care about the safety of others. If there has never been a more critical time to teach the world that they are in danger it is now. Yes, many will reject and even attack us, but we cannot be afraid to speak out, they too must know that there is hope in this world of evil, and He is Jesus Christ. “But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear: Having a good conscience; that, whereas they speak evil of you, as of evildoers, they may be ashamed that falsely accuse your good conversation in Christ.” – I Peter 3:15-16.

falsely accuse your good conversation in Christ.” Let me tell you, because there are so many false religions out there, there are going to be many that will accuse us of being hateful and judgmental. This is due to the fact that we speak the truth, and the truth is a hard pill to swallow when their sins become exposed. And we do not even have to know what it is that they are doing, just our presence convicts them. God gave six hundred and thirty commands to the Jews, He did it for their safety. Did He expect them to know and keep them all? No. He expected them to be faithful. Judah has backslidden so far away from God that there was a severe famine in the land, they fast and pray to God to no avail, then He tells them why He will no longer accept their cries for help.

O the hope of Israel, the saviour thereof in time of trouble, why shouldest thou be as a stranger in the land, and as a wayfaring man that turneth aside to tarry for a night? Why shouldest thou be as a man astonied, as a mighty man that cannot save? yet thou, O LORD, art in the midst of us, and we are called by thy name; leave us not. Thus saith the LORD unto this people, Thus have they loved to wander, they have not refrained their feet, therefore the LORD doth not accept them; he will now remember their iniquity, and visit their sins. Then said I, Ah, Lord GOD! behold, the prophets say unto them, Ye shall not see the sword, neither shall ye have famine; but I will give you assured peace in this place. Then the LORD said unto me, The prophets prophesy lies in my name: I sent them not, neither have I commanded them, neither spake unto them: they prophesy unto you a false vision and divination, and a thing of nought, and the deceit of their heart. Therefore thus saith the LORD concerning the prophets that prophesy in my name, and I sent them not, yet they say, Sword and famine shall not be in this land; By sword and famine shall those prophets be consumed.” – Jeremiah 14:8-10,13-15.

therefore the LORD doth not accept them; You can pray all you want, fast for days, even obey every one of those six hundred and thirty commands, but there is only one way God will accept us is by receiving His Son, Jesus Christ as our Saviour. Why? God made one rule, “Believe in My Son, and His sinless death, burial, and resurrection, accept Him, and You will be saved.” God knew all a long that we are not capable of staying sin free, therefore, He put away the need for constant atonement with one sacrifice, Jesus Christ. Anyone who tells you otherwise is a liar and not sent by God. And those false prophets who taught these lies will die the same death as Satan, and everyone else who believed the lies over the truth. “But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.” – Revelation 21:8.

shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone:” No one wants to end up in hell, and let me tell you, they may deny God exists all they want, believing when they die they are no more, but they really do not want to believe that. People like to question God on how He dealt with man before Christ came in the flesh, but He dealt with them the same exact way, the only difference is that He became the blood sacrifice to atone everyone who believes in Him permanently. As Jeremiah sees all these things happening and still no one is listening, he goes before God with a complaint, God answers him with an assurance.

O LORD, thou knowest: remember me, and visit me, and revenge me of my persecutors; take me not away in thy longsuffering: know that for thy sake I have suffered rebuke. Thy words were found, and I did eat them; and thy word was unto me the joy and rejoicing of mine heart: for I am called by thy name, O LORD God of hosts. I sat not in the assembly of the mockers, nor rejoiced; I sat alone because of thy hand: for thou hast filled me with indignation. Why is my pain perpetual, and my wound incurable, which refuseth to be healed? wilt thou be altogether unto me as a liar, and as waters that fail? Therefore thus saith the LORD, If thou return, then will I bring thee again, and thou shalt stand before me: and if thou take forth the precious from the vile, thou shalt be as my mouth: let them return unto thee; but return not thou unto them. And I will make thee unto this people a fenced brasen wall: and they shall fight against thee, but they shall not prevail against thee: for I am with thee to save thee and to deliver thee, saith the LORD.” – Jeremiah 15:15-20.

but return not thou unto them.” We need to be in the world because that is how we reach the lost, we are here to lead them to Christ by being like Christ, we are to never return to them. Otherwise, we will suffer as we get caught up in their mess. We have the assurance that Jesus is right there with us, He even prays to the Father for us, and will keep us safe. “I have given them thy word; and the world hath hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil. They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.” – John 17:14-17.

Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.” Just think about that? We are sanctified by the truth of Christ because we know that His Word is the truth. Jeremiah, like the rest of us, does not want to see his nation destroyed, but he knows they are responsible for their actions, and this is something he is commanded to tell them why their nation will be destroyed and will be taken into a strange land.

And it shall come to pass, when thou shalt shew this people all these words, and they shall say unto thee, Wherefore hath the LORD pronounced all this great evil against us? or what is our iniquity? or what is our sin that we have committed against the LORD our God? Then shalt thou say unto them, Because your fathers have forsaken me, saith the LORD, and have walked after other gods, and have served them, and have worshipped them, and have forsaken me, and have not kept my law; And ye have done worse than your fathers; for, behold, ye walk every one after the imagination of his evil heart, that they may not hearken unto me: Therefore will I cast you out of this land into a land that ye know not, neither ye nor your fathers; and there shall ye serve other gods day and night; where I will not shew you favour. O LORD, my strength, and my fortress, and my refuge in the day of affliction, the Gentiles shall come unto thee from the ends of the earth, and shall say, Surely our fathers have inherited lies, vanity, and things wherein there is no profit. Shall a man make gods unto himself, and they are no gods? Therefore, behold, I will this once cause them to know, I will cause them to know mine hand and my might; and they shall know that my name is The LORD.” – Jeremiah 16:10-13,19-21.

And ye have done worse than your fathers; It is no doubt that the church is not as it were yesterday, even the Catholic church preached some truth fifty years ago, but today it is full of lies, their leader is even trying to change Scripture, and making alliances with Muslim leaders. And this is why we cannot put our faith and trust in man or religion that keeps us from knowing and reading the truth straight from the Bible. And NO, not every book that has the word BIBLE written across it is true. Through Jeremiah, we learn that those who put their faith and trust in man over His truths are cursed.

Thus saith the LORD; Cursed be the man that trusteth in man, and maketh flesh his arm, and whose heart departeth from the LORD. For he shall be like the heath in the desert, and shall not see when good cometh; but shall inhabit the parched places in the wilderness, in a salt land and not inhabited. Blessed is the man that trusteth in the LORD, and whose hope the LORD is. For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters, and that spreadeth out her roots by the river, and shall not see when heat cometh, but her leaf shall be green; and shall not be careful in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit. The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it? I the LORD search the heart, I try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings. O LORD, the hope of Israel, all that forsake thee shall be ashamed, and they that depart from me shall be written in the earth, because they have forsaken the LORD, the fountain of living waters. As for me, I have not hastened from being a pastor to follow thee: neither have I desired the woeful day; thou knowest: that which came out of my lips was right before thee. Be not a terror unto me: thou art my hope in the day of evil.” – Jeremiah 17:5-10,13,16-17.

and they that depart from me shall be written in the earth,There is no hope, no desire of something good, for the one who has no faith in Christ because when they die they get nothing. There is great hope for the one who does have faith, for even upon our death we get Christ, and await the day we stand before Him to tell us that our name is written in heaven. Amen! The world needs some hope, not the hope that man tries and fails at, they need the hope that only Christ can give. Yes, we are going to face opposition, but we can rejoice in it knowing that our names are written in heaven. Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you. Notwithstanding in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subject unto you; but rather rejoice, because your names are written in heaven.” – Luke 10:19-20.

Jesus Christ Magnified: “Blessed is the man that trusteth in the LORD, and whose hope the LORD is.” – Jeremiah 17:7.

Today’s Prayer: God, Thank You for Your mercy, You could have made me suffer the well needed punishment I deserved for my sins, but through Your Son I got pardoned and receive atonement from them all. Thank You for Your grace, as much as I mess up, Your are always there to help me, and clean me up. You promised to never leave nor forsake me, and for that I am truly grateful, I know many times I have come to the edge of sin, only to have You bring me back to solid ground. Lord, You are my hope, and I am Your mouth, let me speak boldly about Your Son, and give me the strength to endure all the opposition I face as I stand by You. Give me Your power, wisdom, guidance to know Your Word, and keep it, keep my eyes straight on You, and my feet returning to the world. I ask these things in Your name, Jesus, Amen.

God Bless You, I am praying for you,

Christina
