Message: Where is Your Faith?

Hello My Friend,

faith-in-jesusFaith, believing when there is no other reason not to. Faith is believing in God, even without the Scriptures, faith is believing the Scriptures are the inspired Word of God, faith is believing in the character and doctrines of Christ as both the Son of God and man. Since God is a spiritual God and we must worship in His Spirit, faith plays an important factor in our relationship with Jesus. When we are brought down to the lowest of lows, that is what faith is for, when it looks absolutely impossible, that is what faith is for, when every single thing is stacked up against us, that is what faith is for. Now, God knows our faith goes up and down like a roller coaster, but as long as we have some kind of faith, mountains can be moved. “Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water. Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;)” – Hebrews 10:22-23.

It is important that we who have faith never stop living by faith, because sometimes it is only by our faith that others are encouraged. The news of Jesus healing people spread quickly, they did not know what He looked like, but whenever they heard He was in town they flocked to Him just to see if he would heal them or a loved one. Four men, bound and determined to get their friend to Jesus, did the unthinkable to get this man to Him, they pried an opening on the rooftop and lowered him down on a gurney.

When Jesus saw their faith, he said unto the sick of the palsy, Son, thy sins be forgiven thee. And immediately when Jesus perceived in his spirit that they so reasoned within themselves, he said unto them, Why reason ye these things in your hearts? Whether is it easier to say to the sick of the palsy, Thy sins be forgiven thee; or to say, Arise, and take up thy bed, and walk? But that ye may know that the Son of man hath power on earth to forgive sins, (he saith to the sick of the palsy,) I say unto thee, Arise, and take up thy bed, and go thy way into thine house. And immediately he arose, took up the bed, and went forth before them all; insomuch that they were all amazed, and glorified God, saying, We never saw it on this fashion.” – Mark 2:5,8-12.

When Jesus saw their faith, It was when Jesus saw their faith that He had compassion on the man and healed him. The first thing Jesus does when anyone comes to Him is check their faith, while He will not heal every person physically, He will heal them in other ways, and then they get the added bonus of being healed when they leave thief bodies. These four men had so much faith in Jesus that they knew He would cure this man, but it was not enough for their faith, the man they carried had to have faith also. More often than we realize God will heal someone who does not believe in the attempt that they will believe, while this does not happen often, some do believe and get saved, but it is usually the ones who witnessed the miracle that receive Him.

For the gifts and calling of God are without repentance. For as ye in times past have not believed God, yet have now obtained mercy through their unbelief: Even so have these also now not believed, that through your mercy they also may obtain mercy. For God hath concluded them all in unbelief, that he might have mercy upon all.” – Romans 11:29-32.

As Jesus headed back to Galilee, he felt the need to stop in Samaria, a nation despised by the Jews. While His disciples went to get something to eat, He sat by a well, and it was there that He met the woman.

There cometh a woman of Samaria to draw water: Jesus saith unto her, Give me to drink. (For his disciples were gone away unto the city to buy meat.) Then saith the woman of Samaria unto him, How is it that thou, being a Jew, askest drink of me, which am a woman of Samaria? for the Jews have no dealings with the Samaritans. Jesus answered and said unto her, If thou knewest the gift of God, and who it is that saith to thee, Give me to drink; thou wouldest have asked of him, and he would have given thee living water.” – John 4:7-10.

which am a woman of Samaria?” The Jews despised the Samaritans, which was why the woman questioned why Jesus even spoke to her, but Jesus did not care what race or nationality she was, all He cared about was her faith. He continued speaking with her.

The woman saith unto him, Sir, I perceive that thou art a prophet. Our fathers worshipped in this mountain; and ye say, that in Jerusalem is the place where men ought to worship. Jesus saith unto her, Woman, believe me, the hour cometh, when ye shall neither in this mountain, nor yet at Jerusalem, worship the Father. Ye worship ye know not what: we know what we worship: for salvation is of the Jews. But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.” – John 4:19-24.

Ye worship ye know not what:Religions are good at telling people that God is true and right, but when they are teaching a doctrine that goes against the Word of God they are teaching them to worship a false god. Those who truly worship the Almighty God Himself, are more than Jews that believe, they are every nation (group of people), that believe in the only one who can give them living water. “Tribulation and anguish, upon every soul of man that doeth evil, of the Jew first, and also of the Gentile; But glory, honour, and peace, to every man that worketh good, to the Jew first, and also to the Gentile: For there is no respect of persons with God.” – Romans 2:9-11.

Jesus is changing your life as you speak, you can go with the flow, remain thirsty, and never be satisfied or you can refresh yourself in the living waters of Jesus Christ. The woman not only believed in Him, she got saved, left her water pot, and ran back to town to tell her people about Jesus.

And many of the Samaritans of that city believed on him for the saying of the woman, which testified, He told me all that ever I did. So when the Samaritans were come unto him, they besought him that he would tarry with them: and he abode there two days. And many more believed because of his own word; And said unto the woman, Now we believe, not because of thy saying: for we have heard him ourselves, and know that this is indeed the Christ, the Saviour of the world.John 4:39-42.

for we have heard him ourselves,” faith always comes by hearing the Word of God first. We can read it a thousand times, but that does not mean we always hear what we are reading, but when Jesus speaks to our heart we hear Him. Many got saved that day, becoming a part of a nation under God, being a nation of God started with one believer, and that believer talking to others. Not all will believe in and accept Christ, but when we truly believe in Him, we will not be ashamed to tell others about Him. “I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.” – Galatians 2”20.

Jesus Christ Magnified: “Jesus saith unto him, Go thy way; thy son liveth. And the man believed the word that Jesus had spoken unto him, and he went his way.” – John 4:50.

Today’s Prayer: God, It is only by our faith in You that we can please You. Help us to run this crazy race of life with patience, by faith, and looking for the blessed hope that only You can give us. Give us Your power to look to You through all our joys and sorrows and to be a witness of just how much believing in the Gospel has changed my life. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

God Bless You, I am praying for you,

Christina
