Message: Lying Words or God’s Truths

Hello My Friend,

We are nine days into August and it has been a very trying month, I have been staring at the screen trying to start this message, but the words are not coming to me. They are starting to now, as I was reading the chapters for today I could not help, but think of how easy it is for us to believe lies over truth. I do not know what it is, but liars are easy to believe, I mean, look at the devil, he is the master deceiver, he certainly knows who Jesus is, will even disguise himself as someone who proclaims Him, yet does so in a way that is deceitful, sending multitudes to hell. As we get closer to Jesus returning we are going to see a lot more wolves in sheep’s clothing, after all, we still have the Antichrist to deal with, but we can be ready, we just need to heed God’s truths and not Satan’s lies. “Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?” – Matthew 7:15-16.

Ye shall know them by their fruits.” True Christians are hard to spot in this day and age, there are so many who proclaim Christ in public view that it is hard to detect those lying words or God’s truths. However, true Christians live by every word of God, they do not sugar coat it, they do not remove or replace words, they are known by not only their actions, but in how they speak His Word. We are no different today from the people who were here before Christ came to earth, liars distorted, added, and or removed God’s truths from His Word back then too, as God nears His placing judgment upon Judah for turning His once Godly nation into something wicked and corrupt, He upbraids those who are trusting in those lying words over His truths.

Stand in the gate of the LORD’S house, and proclaim there this word, and say, Hear the word of the LORD, all ye of Judah, that enter in at these gates to worship the LORD. Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, Amend your ways and your doings, and I will cause you to dwell in this place. Trust ye not in lying words, saying, The temple of the LORD, The temple of the LORD, The temple of the LORD, are these. For if ye throughly amend your ways and your doings; if ye throughly execute judgment between a man and his neighbour; If ye oppress not the stranger, the fatherless, and the widow, and shed not innocent blood in this place, neither walk after other gods to your hurt: Then will I cause you to dwell in this place, in the land that I gave to your fathers, for ever and ever. Behold, ye trust in lying words, that cannot profit.” – Jeremiah 7:2-8.

ye trust in lying words, that cannot profit.” Let me tell you, I was engaged to a guy that was so smooth talking that I bought into everything he said. You know the story about the boy who cried wolf? They believe the lie then when the truth was told they did not believe and ended up dealing with the wolf. Lies are always found out, there comes a time when people are so fed up with the lies that they do not believe the truth, and when that happens we end up with nothing. Lies never profit, they always destroy. As I said before, lies are so easy to believe, we do not want confrontation, we do not want to fight or offend or struggle, we want peace and prosperity, and we want to believe that these lies are truths, but we must keep telling the truth, souls will depend on it. “Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine. For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.” – II Timothy 4:2-4.

The heart, boy does God know the heart, after all, we are made in His image and created by Him, so, of course, He is going to know all about our heart. When a heart is strong for the Lord, temptation is just another word, we do not even think about things that we know are sinful. It is the heart that starts a person backsliding away from the truth and before you know it, those sinful things grab our attention, and if we are not grounded in Christ we will fall. Israel once thrived as the nation led by God, and now it is a wreck, He already judged the Northern Kingdom and now, He is about to judge Judah. Through Jeremiah, God addresses their backsliding.

And now, because ye have done all these works, saith the LORD, and I spake unto you, rising up early and speaking, but ye heard not; and I called you, but ye answered not; Therefore will I do unto this house, which is called by my name, wherein ye trust, and unto the place which I gave to you and to your fathers, as I have done to Shiloh. And I will cast you out of my sight, as I have cast out all your brethren, even the whole seed of Ephraim. Therefore pray not thou for this people, neither lift up cry nor prayer for them, neither make intercession to me: for I will not hear thee. Seest thou not what they do in the cities of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem? The children gather wood, and the fathers kindle the fire, and the women knead their dough, to make cakes to the queen of heaven, and to pour out drink offerings unto other gods, that they may provoke me to anger. Do they provoke me to anger? saith the LORD: do they not provoke themselves to the confusion of their own faces?” – Jeremiah 7:13-19.

do they not provoke themselves to the confusion of their own faces?” Those who deceive people into believing their lies often talk themselves into believing it themselves. Keep telling people that they evolved from a monkey and sooner or later you will start to believe it. I had to take a health class for my studies and had to read a chapter about global warming and how humans are the cause of the environment going down hill because of the pollutants we put on the earth. Lies do not help us, they only bring confusion and hurt. The most deceptive thing about about believing the lie is that it makes sin look justifiable, they see no shame or wrong in what they are doing. Through Jeremiah, God addresses those who claim to know His Word, yet living a vain version of it.

Moreover thou shalt say unto them, Thus saith the LORD; Shall they fall, and not arise? shall he turn away, and not return? Why then is this people of Jerusalem slidden back by a perpetual backsliding? they hold fast deceit, they refuse to return. I hearkened and heard, but they spake not aright: no man repented him of his wickedness, saying, What have I done? every one turned to his course, as the horse rusheth into the battle. Yea, the stork in the heaven knoweth her appointed times; and the turtle and the crane and the swallow observe the time of their coming; but my people know not the judgment of the LORD. How do ye say, We are wise, and the law of the LORD is with us? Lo, certainly in vain made he it; the pen of the scribes is in vain. The wise men are ashamed, they are dismayed and taken: lo, they have rejected the word of the LORD; and what wisdom is in them?” – Jeremiah 8:4-9.

no man repented him of his wickedness,” The deceivers see nothing wrong in what they are doing, they see no shame in idolatry, drunkenness, fornication, adultery, homosexuality, same sex marriage, in fact, they even allow it in the church. They claim they know the Word of God, they claim they know Christ, in fact, many are even saved, but they either change or remove things from His Word to make their lies into truths, deceiving everyone who believes in them. The people during Jeremiah’s day may not have known Jesus Christ personally, but they did know God, and knew He was their only way to salvation. The things Jesus spoke in the flesh were the same things God spoke through the prophets. God warns us over and over again about believing the lies.

Take ye heed every one of his neighbour, and trust ye not in any brother: for every brother will utterly supplant, and every neighbour will walk with slanders. And they will deceive every one his neighbour, and will not speak the truth: they have taught their tongue to speak lies, and weary themselves to commit iniquity. Thine habitation is in the midst of deceit; through deceit they refuse to know me, saith the LORD. Therefore thus saith the LORD of hosts, Behold, I will melt them, and try them; for how shall I do for the daughter of my people? Their tongue is as an arrow shot out; it speaketh deceit: one speaketh peaceably to his neighbour with his mouth, but in heart he layeth his wait. Shall I not visit them for these things? saith the LORD: shall not my soul be avenged on such a nation as this? Thus saith the LORD, Let not the wise man glory in his wisdom, neither let the mighty man glory in his might, let not the rich man glory in his riches: But let him that glorieth glory in this, that he understandeth and knoweth me, that I am the LORD which exercise lovingkindness, judgment, and righteousness, in the earth: for in these things I delight, saith the LORD.” – Jeremiah 9:4-9,23-24.

through deceit they refuse to know me,” The corrupt have this way of telling such lies that they are believed to be truth, they know who Jesus is, they may have even been saved themselves, but they refuse to tell anyone else the truth about Him. The sad thing, they have followers that believe their lies, and literally send multitudes to hell because they refuse to tell the truth, many times out of fear of losing their followers. As we get closer to the day Jesus returns it is going to get much worse, so much so that you will not be able to trust anyone, money and fame will get you no where when you leave the earth, but Jesus will. We must not be afraid of His judgments, we must fear Him in order to escape all this madness. The graves will open, the people will arise to stand before Jesus, only the saved will survive the second death. “And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them. And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.” – Revelation 20:11-14.

Jesus Christ Magnified: “But let him that glorieth glory in this, that he understandeth and knoweth me, that I am the LORD which exercise lovingkindness, judgment, and righteousness, in the earth: for in these things I delight, saith the LORD.” – Jeremiah 9:24.

Today’s Prayer: God, Thank You for guiding me along the path to Your Son, Jesus Christ. Of all the people in the world You chose me to be one of Yours and for that no words of gratitude can express my thanks to You. Lord, now that I know the truth, let me not get caught up in strange doctrines that would hinder my walk with You. I trust in You, let me not believe the deceivers nor be put to confusion, but see clearly all that You are trying to tell and show me. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

God Bless You, I am praying for you,

Christina
