Message: God’s Eyes, Ears, And Heart

Hello My Friend,

I have been very emotional this week, and not feeling very well adds to it. You see, some maniac took his own kids as hostages for an entire day as the police tried to negotiate with him to let them go only to find out that he killed them and himself. Have you noticed how fast the warnings of the tribulation are coming? Wars, diseases, famines, volcanoes erupting, no regard for life, no respect for authority, and wicked sinful people. There is no fear in people in the world anymore. All I have to say is that Jesus is coming soon and He is our only hope to get through all this. His eyes, ears, and heart is on those who fear God and chose Him, They are His people and the ones who will not only be saved from the tribulation, He will help us endure this mess as well. “But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved. And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.” – Matthew 24:13-14.

God may call Israel His people, but it does not mean that He limited any other nation from coming to know Him. God used Israel to prove to the rest of the world that He is the only living God, who is blesses those who love and are faithful to Him. Being one of God’s people has nothing to do with race, it has everything to do with faith, and our willingness to love Him with all our heart, for when we love God we are faithful to Him. II Chronicles goes into more detail about the dedication of the Temple, when the Ark was brought in its place and the glory of the LORD came in as the whole congregation watched in awe. Solomon climbed up the giant scaffold he had made, turned to the crowd, kneelt, raised his hands up to heaven and began to pray.

And said, O LORD God of Israel, there is no God like thee in the heaven, nor in the earth; which keepest covenant, and shewest mercy unto thy servants, that walk before thee with all their hearts: Thou which hast kept with thy servant David my father that which thou hast promised him; and spakest with thy mouth, and hast fulfilled it with thine hand, as it is this day. Now therefore, O LORD God of Israel, keep with thy servant David my father that which thou hast promised him, saying, There shall not fail thee a man in my sight to sit upon the throne of Israel; yet so that thy children take heed to their way to walk in my law, as thou hast walked before me. Now then, O LORD God of Israel, let thy word be verified, which thou hast spoken unto thy servant David.” – II Chronicles 6:14-17.

let thy word be verified,” It id good for us to go before God, not only in remembrance of what He has done, but also confirm what His promises are. Of course, God knows what He has done and about to do, but these reminders are not for God, but for us, to keep us pressing toward the mark, and also that we may fear Him. As Solomon continues praying he asks God for His mercy and blessings upon the people, even the strangers.

Hearken therefore unto the supplications of thy servant, and of thy people Israel, which they shall make toward this place: hear thou from thy dwelling place, even from heaven; and when thou hearest, forgive. If a man sin against his neighbour, and an oath be laid upon him to make him swear, and the oath come before thine altar in this house; Then hear thou from heaven, and do, and judge thy servants, by requiting the wicked, by recompensing his way upon his own head; and by justifying the righteous, by giving him according to his righteousness. And if thy people Israel be put to the worse before the enemy, because they have sinned against thee; and shall return and confess thy name, and pray and make supplication before thee in this house; Then hear thou from the heavens, and forgive the sin of thy people Israel, and bring them again unto the land which thou gavest to them and to their fathers. Moreover concerning the stranger, which is not of thy people Israel, but is come from a far country for thy great name’s sake, and thy mighty hand, and thy stretched out arm; if they come and pray in this house; Then hear thou from the heavens, even from thy dwelling place, and do according to all that the stranger calleth to thee for; that all people of the earth may know thy name, and fear thee, as doth thy people Israel, and may know that this house which I have built is called by thy name.” – II Chronicles 6:21-25,32-33.

that all people of the earth may know thy name,” God may have used Israel as the people who were known as His, but He does mean that He limited any others from coming to Him. God used Israel to prove that He is God, and is merciful and gracious to even the worst offenders. I mean let’s face it, Israel was and still is the worse example of their faithfulness to God, most refuse to even acknowledge Christ, they do not even follow the Bible past the Law of Moses, even though Christ is contained within those books as well. God gives every person, no matter what nation they were born into, the opportunity to know His Son. It’s up to each one of us to humble ourselves to acknowledge and come to the Son. “Tribulation and anguish, upon every soul of man that doeth evil, of the Jew first, and also of the Gentile; But glory, honour, and peace, to every man that worketh good, to the Jew first, and also to the Gentile: For there is no respect of persons with God.” – Romans 2:9-11.

The world loves to discredit God, they will do anything necessary to try and prove that we are wrong for believing in something we cannot see. Secular science loves to try and prove that man gets smarter as they evolve, that they make no mistakes because they are just doing what is natural to them. Let me tell you, we are not animals, we human, we all have different characteristics, we all have a mind, a voice, and the freewill to choose what we believe. When we are sincere with God, He hears everything that we have to say to Him. As soon as Solomon stopped praying something incredible happened, fire came down from heaven, consuming the thousands of sacrifices Solomon had placed on a huge altar, and the glory of the Lord filled the entire house.

Now when Solomon had made an end of praying, the fire came down from heaven, and consumed the burnt offering and the sacrifices; and the glory of the LORD filled the house. And the priests could not enter into the house of the LORD, because the glory of the LORD had filled the LORD’S house. And when all the children of Israel saw how the fire came down, and the glory of the LORD upon the house, they bowed themselves with their faces to the ground upon the pavement, and worshipped, and praised the LORD, saying, For he is good; for his mercy endureth for ever. And the LORD appeared to Solomon by night, and said unto him, I have heard thy prayer, and have chosen this place to myself for an house of sacrifice. If I shut up heaven that there be no rain, or if I command the locusts to devour the land, or if I send pestilence among my people; If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. Now mine eyes shall be open, and mine ears attent unto the prayer that is made in this place. For now have I chosen and sanctified this house, that my name may be there for ever: and mine eyes and mine heart shall be there perpetually.” – II Chronicles 7:1-3,12-16.

and mine eyes and mine heart shall be there perpetually.” Perpetually; Never ceasing; continuing forever in future time; destined to be eternal. Do you see that? The second we receive Christ as our Saviour God has chosen and sanctified us, and even dwells with us eternally, that means forever. We must admit it, even when we are trying to be perfect, we are not, we are a mess, full of emotions, doubts, fears, pride, and everything else that slows us down from seeing God do even more amazing things for our lives. However, we are His, and He is ours. Can you imagine a light so bright shining in front of you that lets you know God has heard your prayer? God loves to hear us pray, the more we pray, the more He rejoices. Why? Because we are saying to Him, “I need You, I have tried it on my own, but I cannot do it.” God answers our prayers, sometimes right away, sometimes, years later, but He always hears and answers the prayers of His people when they are sincere. Sometimes we need not ask Him for anything at all, because He knows what we need, we just need to thank Him for His goodness, for His mercy, and His grace for redeeming us.

O give thanks unto the LORD; for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever. O give thanks unto the God of gods: for his mercy endureth for ever. O give thanks to the Lord of lords: for his mercy endureth for ever. Who remembered us in our low estate: for his mercy endureth for ever: And hath redeemed us from our enemies: for his mercy endureth for ever. Who giveth food to all flesh: for his mercy endureth for ever. O give thanks unto the God of heaven: for his mercy endureth for ever.” – Psalm 136:1-3,23-26.

Jesus Christ Magnified: “Now when Solomon had made an end of praying, the fire came down from heaven, and consumed the burnt offering and the sacrifices; and the glory of the LORD filled the house.” – II Chronicles 7:1.

Today’s Prayer: God, I have seen You do some amazing things in my life, just sitting here today is a blessing considering where you found me. I admit, my faith in You has it’s ups and downs, sometimes, I believe You can move mountains for me, other times, that You would never do it for me. I know You are the same today as You were yesterday, I know You can still turn things around, and overwhelm me with so many blessings that I cannot help, but cry for all You are doing for me. Lord, When I want to give up, Your strength keeps me going. When I mess up You mercy endures, and when I cannot stand your grace holds me up. During these trying times when we do not know if we will even have tomorrow, let me never lose sight of Your faith in me, and Your willingness to give me the things I need and desire through my faith in You. Keep Your eyes, ears, and heart on me, open mine to see You, and love as You love. I love You Lord, and pray this in Jesus’ name. Amen.

God Bless You, I am praying for you,

Christina
