Message: Ready To Eat

Hello My Friend,

God saw it fit to wake me up at three in the morning to talk to Him, and I swear it is the most I have gotten from my talk Him in a while. He reminded me that He has great plans for me, ones that I have not even seen yet, but in order for me to see them I must be willing to say, “Not my will, but Yours be done.”. As much as we would like to say that we are always in His will, the truth is we are not, but His grace is what brings us back to it every time. Praise God! Many times God’s will takes us in directions that are unfamiliar and quite unbelievable to the world and even Christians, and I believe that is what hinders us sometimes. We must remember that God’s will never goes against Scripture, He will never tell us to do something that He would disapprove of. As our preacher said last night, “Jesus deals with each and every one of us differently, three times it is recorded in the Bible that He healed blind men, each way was different, but He healed them.” We cannot compare God’s will for our lives with other Christians, but we can trust that God knows what He is doing. “Trust in him at all times; ye people, pour out your heart before him: God is a refuge for us. Selah.” – Psalm 62:8.

You know, the Bible tells us that we are to be full, yet always hungry for more. Think about that for a second, how do you feel when you are full? You do not want to eat anything. You have had your fill and see no need. The same is true for the soul, when we are full of the good blessings we see no need to ask God for things. This is why God does not give us everything we want all the time, and tells us we have to wait for them. Yes, God wants us to be happy with what we have, but He also wants us to seek Him from Him, not the world. We must never forget that we are His and we do not get things the way the world does, we must always be hungry for what He wants because what we have today may not be what He wants us to have tomorrow.

Boast not thyself of to morrow; for thou knowest not what a day may bring forth. Let another man praise thee, and not thine own mouth; a stranger, and not thine own lips. A stone is heavy, and the sand weighty; but a fool’s wrath is heavier than them both. Wrath is cruel, and anger is outrageous; but who is able to stand before envy? Open rebuke is better than secret love. Faithful are the wounds of a friend; but the kisses of an enemy are deceitful. The full soul loatheth an honeycomb; but to the hungry soul every bitter thing is sweet. A prudent man foreseeth the evil, and hideth himself; but the simple pass on, and are punished.” – Proverbs 27:1-7,12.

but a fool’s wrath is heavier than them both. This passage stuck me this morning, I made a comment to my guy, “Ten pounds of feathers weighs the same as ten pounds of rocks, but for some reason the feathers still seem lighter.” In this world, we carry so many burdens, even though they weigh the same, some feel heavier than others, but the ones that carries the most weight are those whom fight for no reason. Look at all these fools who fight over things like gun control, women’s rights, and gay rights, they are some of the most mean spirited people on the earth, they are full of so much pride and sin that they loathe anyone who does not agree with them, and they will fight you. However, God’s wrath upon them will be much more than they could ever do to us. “Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.” – Romans 12:19.

While we should take pride in our work and feel good about our accomplishments, we must be careful not to be so proud that we forget it is God who got us where we are. It is in God’s will to give us our desires, but two things must happen, we must do it His way, and we must be willing to fight with faith for them.

The wicked flee when no man pursueth: but the righteous are bold as a lion. Evil men understand not judgment: but they that seek the LORD understand all things. Better is the poor that walketh in his uprightness, than he that is perverse in his ways, though he be rich. Whoso keepeth the law is a wise son: but he that is a companion of riotous men shameth his father. He that by usury and unjust gain increaseth his substance, he shall gather it for him that will pity the poor. He that tilleth his land shall have plenty of bread: but he that followeth after vain persons shall have poverty enough. A faithful man shall abound with blessings: but he that maketh haste to be rich shall not be innocent. To have respect of persons is not good: for for a piece of bread that man will transgress. He that hasteth to be rich hath an evil eye, and considereth not that poverty shall come upon him. When the wicked rise, men hide themselves: but when they perish, the righteous increase.” – Proverbs 28:1,5-8,19-22,28.

but the righteous are bold as a lion.Take someone who is filled with confidence in God, they are very bold, yet tasteful about it. They fear God and stick to their faith no matter how good the temptation. They are strong in their faith, willing to give up the very things they dream of in order to be in God’s will. Those who refuse to acknowledge God at all may have what they want for a time, but it will not last, and they will not have God to turn to. We all have goals and ambitions in life, but sometimes the circumstances we face can take them away to the point that lose the vision. It is a horrible feeling to reach for something and slowly see it pulling away from you so much that you no longer see it. There are one of two conclusions to losing vision, one, you have lost the will to keep reaching for your goals. Two, God sees that your vision is not where He wants you to be and is trying to give you a new one.

The poor and the deceitful man meet together: the LORD lighteneth both their eyes. The king that faithfully judgeth the poor, his throne shall be established for ever. The rod and reproof give wisdom: but a child left to himself bringeth his mother to shame. When the wicked are multiplied, transgression increaseth: but the righteous shall see their fall. Correct thy son, and he shall give thee rest; yea, he shall give delight unto thy soul. Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he. The fear of man bringeth a snare: but whoso putteth his trust in the LORD shall be safe. Many seek the ruler’s favour; but every man’s judgment cometh from the LORD.” – Proverbs 29:13-18,25-26.

but the righteous shall see their fall.” Have you ever known someone who appeared to rich and successful, but had less than you? They are usually critical and judgmental about your accomplishments, but do not have much to show for themselves? The only reason they want you around is because you are the source of what they actually do have. Let me tell you, successes and accomplishments in this life happen because we had a vision that was the same as God’s and we reached for it. When we have no vision we do perish, life has no meaning, we lose the passion and strive we once had to keep going. Not one person, not even God, can change a persons situation until they get hungry to do the will of God. Things happen that take visions and life out of people, but we cannot let those things stop us. If we want things to change we must be content with what we have, and yet always be hungry for the vision that God has for us. “Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content. I know both how to be abased, and I know how to abound: every where and in all things I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need. I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.” – Philippians 4:11-13.

Jesus Christ Magnified: “He that is of a proud heart stirreth up strife: but he that putteth his trust in the LORD shall be made fat.” – Proverbs 28:25.

Today’s Prayer: God, You want us to trust You to provide us with everything we need and desire, and with that trust You give us much more than we can ever dream of. You instruct us to be full with the amazing things that You have blessed us with, but to always be hungry for what we have need of. Lord, I need You, I know I am nothing without You, and that everything I have comes from You. Forgive me for trying to do things in my own will, and complaining when I do not get them simply because Your vision for me is not the same. Lord, lead me and guide me, show me Your vision for my life, and give me Your power, wisdom, mercy, and grace to see it through. Let me boldly say, “You will be done.” and always be faithful to Your calling upon my life. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

God Bless You, I am praying for you,

Christina
