Message: Overcome The World

Hello My Friend,

It is Veteran’s Day today, so a big thank you to all the men and women who have and keep our country safe and protected, and a moment of silence to all whom have lost their lives protecting our rights, our freedoms, and our lives. You know, freedom is not free, it always comes with a price, and usually at the expense of human lives. The devil, his corrupt government, his corrupt world, wants us to be control of us, and subject us to horrible immorality we must witness every single day we step foot out the door. Jesus set us free from the devils control, giving His own life as a sacrifice. As Christians, we cannot overcome the world by ourselves, there is just too much evil out there, but we can through Christ, for He is our strength, even upon the death of our flesh we are more than conquerors. Praise God! “As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter. Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” – Romans 8:36-39.

Bare with me as I have a lot of Scripture in here today, there is so much that God has put on my heart that only He can explain it. I thought it necessary to point out that all this happened during Passover. Jesus wanted one last supper with the disciples before His passion. Then came the day of unleavened bread, when the passover must be killed. And he sent Peter and John, saying, Go and prepare us the passover, that we may eat. And they said unto him, Where wilt thou that we prepare? And he said unto them, Behold, when ye are entered into the city, there shall a man meet you, bearing a pitcher of water; follow him into the house where he entereth in. And ye shall say unto the goodman of the house, The Master saith unto thee, Where is the guestchamber, where I shall eat the passover with my disciples? And he shall shew you a large upper room furnished: there make ready. And they went, and found as he had said unto them: and they made ready the passover.” – Luke 22:7-13.

when the passover must be killed.” We all know the story, the day that the death angel passed through the houses of Egypt to take every first born, male or female, and if he saw the blood of a lamb on the doorpost of a house he would passover it and all would be safe in that house. You know, Jesus became the Passover lamb, which is fitting that all this would take place right after they ate of the lamb representing the blood that was shed to save them from death. Jesus explains all this in the Book of Luke. And he said unto them, With desire I have desired to eat this passover with you before I suffer: For I say unto you, I will not any more eat thereof, until it be fulfilled in the kingdom of God. And he took the cup, and gave thanks, and said, Take this, and divide it among yourselves: For I say unto you, I will not drink of the fruit of the vine, until the kingdom of God shall come. And he took bread, and gave thanks, and brake it, and gave unto them, saying, This is my body which is given for you: this do in remembrance of me. Likewise also the cup after supper, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood, which is shed for you. But, behold, the hand of him that betrayeth me is with me on the table. And truly the Son of man goeth, as it was determined: but woe unto that man by whom he is betrayed!” – Luke 22:15-22.

This cup is the new testament in my blood,Right here, Jesus is saying that He is the Passover, we no longer need the blood of animals, which only covered sin, to receive redemption. Praise God! We must never forget the great sacrifice Jesus made for us so that we can be free, and yes, to choose Him as well. He died for all, but He only saves those who have His blood applied upon their soul. The choice to choose Christ also comes with a price. You see, we may be saved by grace, which means we only need to ask Him to save us, trusting in His sacrifice alone as the payment for our permanent redemption, but as we grow in Christ He starts reflecting off of us, and that is going to cost us to lose family, friends, and even things we enjoy. However, that is only a small price to pay since we now belong to Jesus. Jesus explains to the disciples what their cost will be for choosing Him, but also reveals something amazing.

These things have I spoken unto you, that ye should not be offended. They shall put you out of the synagogues: yea, the time cometh, that whosoever killeth you will think that he doeth God service. And these things will they do unto you, because they have not known the Father, nor me. But these things have I told you, that when the time shall come, ye may remember that I told you of them. And these things I said not unto you at the beginning, because I was with you. But now I go my way to him that sent me; and none of you asketh me, Whither goest thou? But because I have said these things unto you, sorrow hath filled your heart. Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you.” – John 16:1-7.

that whosoever killeth you will think that he doeth God service.” I have to point this out because this is literally what the extremists do. They think they are doing God a favor by killing those whom are “offenders of the law.” These people have some book that was written telling them whatever it is that God despises, but they include Jesus in that, they claim they are helping God by getting rid of the infidels. What they are really doing is trying to control or force people to follow their law, and are no different than the world who does the same thing. Let me remind you, that nothing, and I mean nothing, can separate us from Christ, even though we cannot escape the persecution, Christ is right there with us, He tells His disciples and all of us that His death will cause much sorrow for His believers, and while the world will rejoice, we will have the victory, and if He can endure it, so can we.

Verily, verily, I say unto you, That ye shall weep and lament, but the world shall rejoice: and ye shall be sorrowful, but your sorrow shall be turned into joy. A woman when she is in travail hath sorrow, because her hour is come: but as soon as she is delivered of the child, she remembereth no more the anguish, for joy that a man is born into the world. And ye now therefore have sorrow: but I will see you again, and your heart shall rejoice, and your joy no man taketh from you. And in that day ye shall ask me nothing. Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, he will give it you. Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full. These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.” – John 16:20-24,33.

but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.Jesus overcame the world three days later after His death when He arose from the dead therefore we who believe in and receive Him as our Saviour have the same promise awaiting us, we will overcome the world because we will be with Jesus in His Kingdom forever. Praise God! Jesus reveals something to all His believers, He prays for them. I have glorified thee on the earth: I have finished the work which thou gavest me to do. And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was. I have manifested thy name unto the men which thou gavest me out of the world: thine they were, and thou gavest them me; and they have kept thy word. Now they have known that all things whatsoever thou hast given me are of thee. For I have given unto them the words which thou gavest me; and they have received them, and have known surely that I came out from thee, and they have believed that thou didst send me. I pray for them: I pray not for the world, but for them which thou hast given me; for they are thine. And all mine are thine, and thine are mine; and I am glorified in them. And now I am no more in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to thee. Holy Father, keep through thine own name those whom thou hast given me, that they may be one, as we are.” – John 17:4-11.

I pray for them: I pray not for the world,” How amazing is it that God in all His mighty power, spirit, and flesh, loves us so much that He not only wants us saved, but prays that we are one with Him. Jesus is in us through His blood, God is with Him, therefore we are one, we will overcome the world through our faith. Jesus continues in prayer, revealing why He keeps us in this wicked world as long as He does. While I was with them in the world, I kept them in thy name: those that thou gavest me I have kept, and none of them is lost, but the son of perdition; that the scripture might be fulfilled. And now come I to thee; and these things I speak in the world, that they might have my joy fulfilled in themselves. I have given them thy word; and the world hath hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil. Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word; That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me. And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one: I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me. Father, I will that they also, whom thou hast given me, be with me where I am; that they may behold my glory, which thou hast given me: for thou lovedst me before the foundation of the world.” – John 17:12-15,20-24.

be with me where I am;Approximately forty-eight years, eight months, and eighteen days ago, God created me, He had a plan for me from conception, it was predestined that I would come to know His Son as my Saviour, but the rest was up to me. God’s gift of freewill gave me the choice on whether or not I would do what I was predestined to do, and praise God by His mercy and grace He found me, gave me a tender heart to come to know Him as my Saviour, and not only be His creation, but child. The world cannot see how precious life is, they will destroy it in an instant if it meant it would satisfy their own lusts, but to God, every life is precious, that is why we are all predestined to know Him from conception. Sadly, few do, even with Him being right in front of their faces. “For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse: Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.” – Romans 1:20,21.

Jesus Christ Magnified: “And all mine are thine, and thine are mine; and I am glorified in them.” – John 17:10.

Today’s Prayer: God, I want to thank You for sending Your Son to save me, I am trusting fully in Him for eternal life with You. While I humble myself to You, help me to submit solely to You, with all the joy, peace, and comfort that only comes from Christ who is mine. Lord, just as You are the example that I need to follow let me be the example for someone else to follow in hopes that they too can find peace and joy in the Saviour. Lead me and guide me, give me Your power, mercy, grace, and strength to endure these trials as I know I overcome the world already. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.

God Bless You, I am praying for you,

Christina
