Message: Made Righteous Through Christ

Hello My Friend,

The second someone is born they are predestined to live in heaven with God when they die physically, but with something called freewill not everyone predestined to heaven will get there because of sin. You see, it is sin that separates God’s Spirit from man, without His Spirit in our soul we will end up in hell because that is what the punishment for sin is. However, God had a plan from the first sin committed to redeem man so that they could choose where they want to end up when they die, and He used one man to do that, Jesus Christ. “Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life. For as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.” – Romans 5:18-19.

It all comes down to faith and if God sees no hope in that soul every coming to Christ He will harden its heart, and they will never see Him for who He truly, that is until the day they face Him when they die. Now, Mary Magdalene and some of the other women were the first to find out that Jesus was no longer in the tomb, of course, this led to all sorts of questions. She runs down the hill, sees a couple of disciples, perhaps they were coming also to visit the grave, and tells them that Jesus was missing.

The first day of the week cometh Mary Magdalene early, when it was yet dark, unto the sepulchre, and seeth the stone taken away from the sepulchre. Then she runneth, and cometh to Simon Peter, and to the other disciple, whom Jesus loved, and saith unto them, They have taken away the Lord out of the sepulchre, and we know not where they have laid him. Peter therefore went forth, and that other disciple, and came to the sepulchre. So they ran both together: and the other disciple did outrun Peter, and came first to the sepulchre. And he stooping down, and looking in, saw the linen clothes lying; yet went he not in. Then cometh Simon Peter following him, and went into the sepulchre, and seeth the linen clothes lie, And the napkin, that was about his head, not lying with the linen clothes, but wrapped together in a place by itself. Then went in also that other disciple, which came first to the sepulchre, and he saw, and believed. For as yet they knew not the scripture, that he must rise again from the dead.– John 20:1-9.

and he saw, and believed.John did not have to be told that Jesus would resurrect in three days to believe that He was alive the second he saw the tomb was empty. That is what faith does, we may not see the physical evidence, but we do not need it because we believe. Later that day the disciples gathered together in an upper room hidden because they feared the Jews would come after them the way they did Jesus. I am sure the conversation came up about the body of Jesus being missing in the tomb and what the women were saying about Him being alive too. Since none of them except Mary Magdalene had seen Jesus they were probably all wondering where He was, and to their surprise who would show up in the midst of them, Jesus Himself.

Then the same day at evening, being the first day of the week, when the doors were shut where the disciples were assembled for fear of the Jews, came Jesus and stood in the midst, and saith unto them, Peace be unto you. And when he had so said, he shewed unto them his hands and his side. Then were the disciples glad, when they saw the Lord. Then said Jesus to them again, Peace be unto you: as my Father hath sent me, even so send I you. And when he had said this, he breathed on them, and saith unto them, Receive ye the Holy Ghost: Whose soever sins ye remit, they are remitted unto them; and whose soever sins ye retain, they are retained. And many other signs truly did Jesus in the presence of his disciples, which are not written in this book: But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name.– John 20:19-23,30-31.

Whose soever sins ye remit, they are remitted unto them;” Right there Jesus was telling them there was a new law, one that salvation or the remission of sins would only be granted upon their faith in what He did. Those who believe that He died a sinless death, was buried, and arose three days later have their sins forgiven and even forgotten, those who do not believe will die in their sins. “He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.– John 3:18-19.

Peter spent three and a half years ministering to Jesus, now that He was gone the only thing he thought to do was go back to the life he lived before Christ. He discovered, just like the rest of us that once you receive Christ you cannot go back to the things you were doing before you got saved.

There were together Simon Peter, and Thomas called Didymus, and Nathanael of Cana in Galilee, and the sons of Zebedee, and two other of his disciples. Simon Peter saith unto them, I go a fishing. They say unto him, We also go with thee. They went forth, and entered into a ship immediately; and that night they caught nothing. But when the morning was now come, Jesus stood on the shore: but the disciples knew not that it was Jesus. Then Jesus saith unto them, Children, have ye any meat? They answered him, No. And he said unto them, Cast the net on the right side of the ship, and ye shall find. They cast therefore, and now they were not able to draw it for the multitude of fishes. Therefore that disciple whom Jesus loved saith unto Peter, It is the Lord. Now when Simon Peter heard that it was the Lord, he girt his fisher’s coat unto him, (for he was naked,) and did cast himself into the sea. And the other disciples came in a little ship; (for they were not far from land, but as it were two hundred cubits,) dragging the net with fishes. As soon then as they were come to land, they saw a fire of coals there, and fish laid thereon, and bread.– John 21:2-9.

I go a fishing. They had no luck catching fish until Jesus showed up and told them where to cast the net, then He calls them to shore. Jesus explains to Peter what He wants him to do when He leaves.

So when they had dined, Jesus saith to Simon Peter, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me more than these? He saith unto him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I love thee. He saith unto him, Feed my lambs. He saith to him again the second time, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me? He saith unto him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I love thee. He saith unto him, Feed my sheep. He saith unto him the third time, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me? Peter was grieved because he said unto him the third time, Lovest thou me? And he said unto him, Lord, thou knowest all things; thou knowest that I love thee. Jesus saith unto him, Feed my sheep. Verily, verily, I say unto thee, When thou wast young, thou girdedst thyself, and walkedst whither thou wouldest: but when thou shalt be old, thou shalt stretch forth thy hands, and another shall gird thee, and carry thee whither thou wouldest not. This spake he, signifying by what death he should glorify God. And when he had spoken this, he saith unto him, Follow me. Then Peter, turning about, seeth the disciple whom Jesus loved following; which also leaned on his breast at supper, and said, Lord, which is he that betrayeth thee? Peter seeing him saith to Jesus, Lord, and what shall this man do? Jesus saith unto him, If I will that he tarry till I come, what is that to thee? follow thou me.– John 21:15-22.

what is that to thee?” First of all, when Jesus has a job for us, He is going to keep asking us if we love Him so we do not forget to do it ourselves. Second, since He is not here, He calls on us to tell the world about Him. Third, God’s will for my life is not the same as His will for your life, every one of us has our own path in which God gives us, while some of us are allowed to do certain things, others are not. I believe God does this because He knows how much each one of us can handle. We are to please God, and no one else, we are to follow the path that He has set for us and not judge someone else for the things that God allows in their lives. For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost. For he that in these things serveth Christ is acceptable to God, and approved of men. Let us therefore follow after the things which make for peace, and things wherewith one may edify another. For meat destroy not the work of God. All things indeed are pure; but it is evil for that man who eateth with offence. It is good neither to eat flesh, nor to drink wine, nor any thing whereby thy brother stumbleth, or is offended, or is made weak. Hast thou faith? have it to thyself before God. Happy is he that condemneth not himself in that thing which he alloweth.” – Romans 14:17-22.

Jesus Christ Magnified: “Jesus saith unto her, Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended to my Father: but go to my brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and to my God, and your God.” – John 20:17.

Today’s Prayer: God, There is nothing more powerful that Your Word, no matter how many people try to alter it or alter our perception of it it always remains as it is written. It is comforting to know that when You have a plan You stop at nothing for it to come to pass, including Your plan for me. Thank You for loving me and not giving up on me, for waiting patiently for me to learn the truth about Your Son, and how important it is to have Him in my life. Thank You Jesus, for dying for me, for redeeming me, and for making me one of Your very own. I love You Lord, and pray in your name, Jesus, Amen.

God Bless You, I am praying for you,

Christina
