Message: Judgment Begins in God’s House

Hello My Friend,

I was watching a movie last night and they referenced every aspect of modern marriage today, straight, mixed race, gay, transgender, in fact, most movies or television shows today address all these as being acceptable, and anyone who does not approve is deemed as a racist or bigot. It is no wonder the world is being judged, sin is now acceptable, living by God’s commands is not. No, we are no longer under the law and ought to be praising God every day for His mercy and grace because we cannot be put to death for breaking one of His commands if we know Christ as our Saviour. Yes, we are all sinners, yes, God saves all who come to Him through His Son, yes, we are saved by grace and not our works, but God has not changed His stance on what is acceptable or not, and if we continue to live in a way that is not acceptable to Him than we will be judged, and let me tell you, God will judge His own before He judges those who are not. “For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?” – I Peter 4:17.

First God gave instructions on how Israel or anyone who wanted fellowship with Him to be redeemed and receive an atonement for their sin. Now, He tells them exactly what constitutes as sin, basically it is the ten commandments broken down into sections, have no other gods before me, worship no images or anything He made as such, honor your father and mother, etc, etc.

Speak unto all the congregation of the children of Israel, and say unto them, Ye shall be holy: for I the LORD your God am holy. Ye shall fear every man his mother, and his father, and keep my sabbaths: I am the LORD your God. Turn ye not unto idols, nor make to yourselves molten gods: I am the LORD your God. And if ye offer a sacrifice of peace offerings unto the LORD, ye shall offer it at your own will. It shall be eaten the same day ye offer it, and on the morrow: and if ought remain until the third day, it shall be burnt in the fire. And if it be eaten at all on the third day, it is abominable; it shall not be accepted. Therefore every one that eateth it shall bear his iniquity, because he hath profaned the hallowed thing of the LORD: and that soul shall be cut off from among his people. And ye shall not swear by my name falsely, neither shalt thou profane the name of thy God: I am the LORD. Thou shalt not defraud thy neighbour, neither rob him: the wages of him that is hired shall not abide with thee all night until the morning. Thou shalt not curse the deaf, nor put a stumblingblock before the blind, but shalt fear thy God: I am the LORD. Ye shall do no unrighteousness in judgment: thou shalt not respect the person of the poor, nor honour the person of the mighty: but in righteousness shalt thou judge thy neighbour.” – Leviticus 19:2-8,12-15.

it is abominable; it shall not be accepted. We have a short window in this life that enables us to know Christ as our Saviour, if we die without Him we bare the iniquity of our sin ourselves and there is no escape from hell. God does give ample warning and He is not a respecter of persons, it is up to those who know Christ as their Saviour to tell those who do not what would happen to them if they do not receive Him. “Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.” – Matthew 28:19-20.

God’s purpose for giving commands was never designed for the purpose of saving a soul, we are all sinners no matter what generation we come from, they were used to set us apart, to show the world that we are, in fact, different. Keep in mind that what we see today is nothing new to God, He gave these commands because people of other nations were doing them already, which they already saw in Egypt, and including Canaan, which was about to become their land. Now, God addresses the issues of marriage, adultery, and sexual relations.

Sanctify yourselves therefore, and be ye holy: for I am the LORD your God. And ye shall keep my statutes, and do them: I am the LORD which sanctify you. For every one that curseth his father or his mother shall be surely put to death: he hath cursed his father or his mother; his blood shall be upon him. And the man that committeth adultery with another man’s wife, even he that committeth adultery with his neighbour’s wife, the adulterer and the adulteress shall surely be put to death. And the man that lieth with his father’s wife hath uncovered his father’s nakedness: both of them shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them. And if a man lie with his daughter in law, both of them shall surely be put to death: they have wrought confusion; their blood shall be upon them. If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them. Ye shall therefore keep all my statutes, and all my judgments, and do them: that the land, whither I bring you to dwell therein, spue you not out. And ye shall not walk in the manners of the nation, which I cast out before you: for they committed all these things, and therefore I abhorred them. But I have said unto you, Ye shall inherit their land, and I will give it unto you to possess it, a land that floweth with milk and honey: I am the LORD your God, which have separated you from other people.” – Leviticus 20:7-13,22-24.

they have wrought confusion;Yes, it is confusing to the boy who has two mothers or the girl who has two fathers as to why they have no father or mother. And the world will tell you that love does not matter, that a loving home is all that matters. Yes, it is confusing to a child who has siblings who have different fathers. Yes, it is confusing for the child who was born in a home where one parent knows Christ and the other Allah. Children are always affected by the choices that their parents make, there is always a price for sin, and unfortunately we all suffer the repercussions of the choices others make. The world will tell you that everything that is an abomination to God is acceptable, they reject and criticize God and Christ because they know what they are doing is unacceptable to God. Thankfully God’s mercy endures, we are no longer put to death for sexual orientation or indiscretions. “Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for ye serve the Lord Christ. But he that doeth wrong shall receive for the wrong which he hath done: and there is no respect of persons.” – Colossians 3:24-25.

While anyone who knows Christ as their Saviour does not face the judgment of the second death and hell, that does not exempt is from the judgments of sin. No one is exempt from judgment, not even those who serve Him. God gives specific rules for priests and their families, that they were to go above and beyond the rest of them.

Speak unto Aaron, saying, Whosoever he be of thy seed in their generations that hath any blemish, let him not approach to offer the bread of his God. For whatsoever man he be that hath a blemish, he shall not approach: a blind man, or a lame, or he that hath a flat nose, or any thing superfluous, Or a man that is brokenfooted, or brokenhanded, Or crookbackt, or a dwarf, or that hath a blemish in his eye, or be scurvy, or scabbed, or hath his stones broken; No man that hath a blemish of the seed of Aaron the priest shall come nigh to offer the offerings of the LORD made by fire: he hath a blemish; he shall not come nigh to offer the bread of his God. He shall eat the bread of his God, both of the most holy, and of the holy. Only he shall not go in unto the vail, nor come nigh unto the altar, because he hath a blemish; that he profane not my sanctuaries: for I the LORD do sanctify them.” – Leviticus 21:17-23.

He shall eat the bread of his God,” If you were to read this passage as someone in the world you would think that God rejects those who have infirmities, the blind, deaf, short, crippled, this is untrue since it is God who makes a person that way, and we learned that they were not to treat them with disrespect from the last chapter. What God is referring to here is while our infirmities have a way of limiting us from doing certain things, they in no way keep us from getting saved, nor serving God in some way if we choose Him. “And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:” – Ephesians 4:11-13.

Jesus Christ Magnified: “And ye shall be holy unto me: for I the LORD am holy, and have severed you from other people, that ye should be mine.” – Leviticus 20:26.

Today’s Prayer: God, Thank You for Your commands, while I do not always understand them, I do know that they have a purpose, because You have already seen the result of what happens when others have done them first. Lord, I want to stand before You holy and acceptable, give me Your power, mercy, and grace to discern and understand what is acceptable to You, help me to understand, follow, and teach Your truths to all, and let me never be ashamed to tell the truth or live by it. As I obey Your commands, I know that You will be watching over me, walking with me, and helping me make decisions that are pleasing to You. In Jesus’ name, I pray, Amen.

God Bless You, I am praying for you,

Christina
