Message: In The Name Of The LORD

Hello My Friend,

I did something that I have not done in years, between my deep focus on king Saul, and the horrible way his life ended and tending to my nephews it slipped my mind that yesterday was Good Friday, and did not realize it until three o’clock in the afternoon. And just now, as I write this, I am reminded that when Jesus was on the cross all the earth was dark for three hours, and it was three o’clock in the afternoon when He died. So, I did not forget, God just brought it to my attention at the time that He would have died. “And it was about the sixth hour, and there was a darkness over all the earth until the ninth hour. And the sun was darkened, and the veil of the temple was rent in the midst. And when Jesus had cried with a loud voice, he said, Father, into thy hands I commend my spirit: and having said thus, he gave up the ghost.” – Luke 23:44-46.

Father, into thy hands I commend my spirit:” You know, the second we put our spirit into God’s hands we live. That is if we have received the LORD Jesus Christ as our Saviour. Jesus, in all His power, suffered through such pain, humiliation, and death so that we could live through Him. Amen! All must understand that putting out spirit into the LORD’s hands is not something new to those who know Christ after His death, burial, and resurrection, it was for all who had faith in God. Remember, believing in God and accepting Him are two different things, and while those who chose to walk with God before Christ came here in the flesh were subject to the Law of Moses, salvation has always been granted by grace, only through their faith in the LORD. In fact, the majority of the Psalms David wrote something about the LORD preserving his soul. The LORD is thy keeper: the LORD is thy shade upon thy right hand. The sun shall not smite thee by day, nor the moon by night. The LORD shall preserve thee from all evil: he shall preserve thy soul. The LORD shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore.” – Psalm 121:5-8.

The LORD shall preserve thee from all evil:” Those who have accepted Jesus Christ as their Saviour can be exceedingly grateful, and thankful that our souls are preserved from all evil, meaning while Satan can certainly afflict, and humiliate us for our faith, he cannot take our soul because it belongs to Jesus. We are not sinless, and by far perfect, and yet, His mercy endures, even in our darkest hour. Behold, as the eyes of servants look unto the hand of their masters, and as the eyes of a maiden unto the hand of her mistress; so our eyes wait upon the LORD our God, until that he have mercy upon us. Have mercy upon us, O LORD, have mercy upon us: for we are exceedingly filled with contempt. Our soul is exceedingly filled with the scorning of those that are at ease, and with the contempt of the proud.” – Psalm 123:2-4.

Our soul is exceedingly filled with the scorning of those that are at ease,This past week I have been so busy with work, and things going on at home, that I would just work through my shift without taking lunch and then use my lunch break to drive home. Here I thought I was doing a good work, until I got an email from my boss reprimanding me for working more than five hours without a break. Our spirit, which is linked all the way down to the depths of our soul, gets trampled on, and let me tell you, often, by the ones we are in most contact with. And yet, we can find solitude, and comfort in knowing that all we have to do is call on Jesus. Then the waters had overwhelmed us, the stream had gone over our soul: Then the proud waters had gone over our soul. Blessed be the LORD, who hath not given us as a prey to their teeth. Our soul is escaped as a bird out of the snare of the fowlers: the snare is broken, and we are escaped. Our help is in the name of the LORD, who made heaven and earth.” – Psalm 124:4-8.

Our help is in the name of the LORD,” How amazing is it that all we have to do is call on Jesus and He will help us in our time in need? Whether we grieve, cry, suffer, mourn, or remorse, we can call on Jesus, and He will help us. Praise God! I have to tell you that as I read the horrible things that the Philistines had done to Saul’s body I felt this amazing amount of grief over Saul, he did not deserve that, and as many times as I have read about this it is the first time that it hit me of how many people die and end up in hell because they believed the lies told by their religion or were too stubborn and proud to call upon Jesus. It is really sad, and is no wonder why Jesus wept when He saw the disbelief of so many as they mourned Lazarus.

Then when Mary was come where Jesus was, and saw him, she fell down at his feet, saying unto him, Lord, if thou hadst been here, my brother had not died. When Jesus therefore saw her weeping, and the Jews also weeping which came with her, he groaned in the spirit, and was troubled, And said, Where have ye laid him? They said unto him, Lord, come and see. Jesus wept. Jesus therefore again groaning in himself cometh to the grave. It was a cave, and a stone lay upon it. Jesus said, Take ye away the stone. Martha, the sister of him that was dead, saith unto him, Lord, by this time he stinketh: for he hath been dead four days. Jesus saith unto her, Said I not unto thee, that, if thou wouldest believe, thou shouldest see the glory of God?” – John 11:32-25,38-40.

Jesus therefore again groaning in himselfGroan; To breathe with a deep murmuring sound; to utter a mournful voice, as in pain or sorrow. We should feel deep pain and sorrow over the countless souls that never believe there truly is hope for us beyond the grave in Jesus Christ. Lazarus, along with a few others recorded in the Bible, I do not know if it was a blessing or a curse, to have been raised from the dead so that God’s glory could be revealed. There have also been countless testimonies of people who died on operating tables, and in strange occurrences only to awake with a newfound outlook on life, proclaiming the name of Jesus. Let me tell you, you do not have to die physically and awake from the dead to have a newfound outlook on life. And by the way, these miraculous events only happened so that God’s glory could be revealed, all you need to do is look to Jesus, and He will give you a new life even before He comes to take you home. And we can rejoice with David as he waited for Jesus.

I wait for the LORD, my soul doth wait, and in his word do I hope. My soul waiteth for the Lord more than they that watch for the morning: I say, more than they that watch for the morning. Let Israel hope in the LORD: for with the LORD there is mercy, and with him is plenteous redemption. And he shall redeem Israel from all his iniquities.” – Psalm 130:5-8.

and in his word do I hope.I have to tell you, before I started reading God’s Word I had no hope in ever seeing heaven, in fact, I had no idea that my soul needed saving. Why? Because my religion told me nothing I do is good enough to get to heaven. And this is rightfully so, but they failed to mention one very important thing, I need to call on Jesus to redeem my soul that I can be saved. I despise religion, it is all orchestrated by Satan, and all it does is send countless souls to hell. It is only by the words that are found in the King James Bible that we can hope. Amen! And let me tell you, while salvation is only by the grace of God through our faith in Jesus Christ, we will never truly understand salvation or what Jesus did for us unless we are living by His Word. Those whom have truly called upon the name of the LORD, start to conform to an image of Christ as they start living by His Word, that cannot be said for those whoa are intent on following their religion or the wicked. For the rod of the wicked shall not rest upon the lot of the righteous; lest the righteous put forth their hands unto iniquity. Do good, O LORD, unto those that be good, and to them that are upright in their hearts. As for such as turn aside unto their crooked ways, the LORD shall lead them forth with the workers of iniquity: but peace shall be upon Israel.” – Psalm 125:3-5.

but peace shall be upon Israel.” Remember, not all of Israel are the Jews, we are all a mixture of people from all races and families who have called upon the name of the LORD for our salvation. Faithful Christians are not living by the God’s Word to keep their salvation or by any obligation, they happily are willingly to do so because they know their labor is not in vain. A Song of degrees. Blessed is every one that feareth the LORD; that walketh in his ways. For thou shalt eat the labour of thine hands: happy shalt thou be, and it shall be well with thee.” – Psalm 128:1-2.

and it shall be well with thee.” Why do we do what we do? Why do we remain faithful to God even though we are mocked, shamed, persecuted, lied to, and everything in between? It is well with our soul. Remember, nothing we do in the name of Jesus will go unnoticed by God, those who lie, and deceive, and grieve us will have their reward, and so will we. “Blessed are ye that hunger now: for ye shall be filled. Blessed are ye that weep now: for ye shall laugh. Blessed are ye, when men shall hate you, and when they shall separate you from their company, and shall reproach you, and cast out your name as evil, for the Son of man’s sake. Rejoice ye in that day, and leap for joy: for, behold, your reward is great in heaven: for in the like manner did their fathers unto the prophets.” – Luke 6:21-23. Amen, and Amen!

Jesus Christ Magnified: “Our help is in the name of the LORD, who made heaven and earth.” – Psalm 124:8.

Today’s Prayer: Jesus, Thank You for giving Your life that I might live through You. You suffered through all the pain, the humiliation, the mocking, and the scourging. You hung there on the cross while You had every ability to not only come down, but send a legion of angels to assist You, but You remained there so that I would not have to be there. You gave me life the second I believed that I did have hope in going to heaven, but You gave me so much more than a way to heaven, You gave me eternal life, and that means I will never ever be apart from You. Lord, I know that You gave me a new life, and it gets renewed every day that I walk with You. Lead me and guide me, keep me in Your Word that I may keep learning and growing, and conforming into someone resembling You. I get it now, I understand how important it is to tell everyone about You, let me be a faithful witness, full of compassion and have a continual passion for seeing all saved as You do. In Your name, Jesus, I pray. Amen.

God Bless You, I am praying for you,

Christina
