Message: I Am The LORD Your God

Hello My Friend,

When you think of all the things you go through in your lifetime it is comforting to know that God calls you one of His own. There are people who reject Christ because, they enjoy the sin more than the Saviour. There are people who reject God because they do not understand the sufferings and evils of this world. There are people who follow God religiously, but have no clue who Christ is. And there are people who have no idea that God exists, who are decent and moral people, with the idea that once you die it is over. None of these people, the ignorant, the unbeliever, the religious, nor the rejecting are God’s people and none of them will understand or find the true comfort of knowing God as their Father. There is only one way to be one of God’s and that is through Christ. “All things are delivered unto me of my Father: and no man knoweth the Son, but the Father; neither knoweth any man the Father, save the Son, and he to whomsoever the Son will reveal him.” – Matthew 11:27.

Why is it that there are so many people who die, never knowing who Christ is in the first place? Some were brought up in families that reject Him from the start, but more often than we realize many of them are leading lives that follow some evil religion or think they know who God is over His Word. If we are going to choose to have God in our lives we must come to Him His way, not our own. Since God is holy, we must be holy to even stand before Him, and in order to be holy we need to clean of any blemishes, including sin. Jew or not, God explains why no person who comes to Him any other way than His way will be accepted.

Speak unto Aaron and to his sons, that they separate themselves from the holy things of the children of Israel, and that they profane not my holy name in those things which they hallow unto me: I am the LORD. They shall therefore keep mine ordinance, lest they bear sin for it, and die therefore, if they profane it: I the LORD do sanctify them. There shall no stranger eat of the holy thing: a sojourner of the priest, or an hired servant, shall not eat of the holy thing. But if the priest buy any soul with his money, he shall eat of it, and he that is born in his house: they shall eat of his meat. If the priest’s daughter also be married unto a stranger, she may not eat of an offering of the holy things. But if the priest’s daughter be a widow, or divorced, and have no child, and is returned unto her father’s house, as in her youth, she shall eat of her father’s meat: but there shall no stranger eat thereof. And if a man eat of the holy thing unwittingly, then he shall put the fifth part thereof unto it, and shall give it unto the priest with the holy thing. And they shall not profane the holy things of the children of Israel, which they offer unto the LORD; Or suffer them to bear the iniquity of trespass, when they eat their holy things: for I the LORD do sanctify them.” – Leviticus 22:2,9-16.

But if the priest buy any soul with his money,Jesus bought and paid for our souls with His life, if we want fellowship with God we must believe that He is the only offering He accepts. Therefore, if we know Christ as our Saviour, we are not only accepted by God, we become one of His children. Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that entereth not by the door into the sheepfold, but climbeth up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber. But he that entereth in by the door is the shepherd of the sheep. I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture. And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father’s hand. I and my Father are one.” – John 10:1-2,9,28-30.

Another reason that people die never knowing Christ is that their offering is not pure, meaning they are relying on their religion and not Him to be accepted by God. Many even know believe that He exists, but only see Him as some ordinary man who got martyred for his faith. Jew or not, God explains that our offering must be pure.

Speak unto Aaron, and to his sons, and unto all the children of Israel, and say unto them, Whatsoever he be of the house of Israel, or of the strangers in Israel, that will offer his oblation for all his vows, and for all his freewill offerings, which they will offer unto the LORD for a burnt offering; Ye shall offer at your own will a male without blemish, of the beeves, of the sheep, or of the goats. But whatsoever hath a blemish, that shall ye not offer: for it shall not be acceptable for you. And whosoever offereth a sacrifice of peace offerings unto the LORD to accomplish his vow, or a freewill offering in beeves or sheep, it shall be perfect to be accepted; there shall be no blemish therein. And when ye will offer a sacrifice of thanksgiving unto the LORD, offer it at your own will. On the same day it shall be eaten up; ye shall leave none of it until the morrow: I am the LORD. Therefore shall ye keep my commandments, and do them: I am the LORD. Neither shall ye profane my holy name; but I will be hallowed among the children of Israel: I am the LORD which hallow you, That brought you out of the land of Egypt, to be your God: I am the LORD.” – Leviticus 22:18-21,29-33.

I am the LORD which hallow you,Hallow; To make holy; to consecrate; to set apart for holy or religious use. God hallows us through our faith and trust in Jesus Christ. When we come to Him, first admitting that we have sinned, then believing that He bought and paid for our atonement with His own life by being that pure sacrifice, then confess that He is the only way to God and our salvation that is when God hallows us, and makes us one of His own. “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” – Romans 10:9-13.

When we belong to God, He takes care of us, He provides for us, and if we do not acknowledge Him as being the source of all that is good in our lives we will face some suffering for it. Because life can make our fellowship with God seem nonexistent, God institutes holy days (holidays). The Feasts of the Lord were observed as reminders of the freedom, gifts, and miracles that God had given to the Israel as He protected, provided for, and fulfilled His promises to them. These were not ordinary feasts, they were sabbath days used to atone and reflect on what God had done.

Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, Concerning the feasts of the LORD, which ye shall proclaim to be holy convocations, even these are my feasts. Also on the tenth day of this seventh month there shall be a day of atonement: it shall be an holy convocation unto you; and ye shall afflict your souls, and offer an offering made by fire unto the LORD. And ye shall do no work in that same day: for it is a day of atonement, to make an atonement for you before the LORD your God. For whatsoever soul it be that shall not be afflicted in that same day, he shall be cut off from among his people. And whatsoever soul it be that doeth any work in that same day, the same soul will I destroy from among his people. Ye shall do no manner of work: it shall be a statute for ever throughout your generations in all your dwellings. It shall be unto you a sabbath of rest, and ye shall afflict your souls: in the ninth day of the month at even, from even unto even, shall ye celebrate your sabbath.” – Leviticus 23:2,27-32.

the same soul will I destroy from among his people.Salvation has never been about works, it has always been about our faith and trust in the LORD. Anyone who tries to get to God by their own works is going to have huge awakening the day they die as they will not be accepted by Him. “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him. Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father. And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.” – John 14:6-7,12-13.

Jesus Christ Magnified: “These are the feasts of the LORD, which ye shall proclaim to be holy convocations, to offer an offering made by fire unto the LORD, a burnt offering, and a meat offering, a sacrifice, and drink offerings, every thing upon his day:” – Leviticus 22:37.

Today’s Prayer: God, How awesome is it to be one of Yours and that You are our God. You have called on all Your children to be holy and show the world Your Son, as He is the only way to You. Lord, Give us Your power to stand by our faith and not be ashamed to show that we love Jesus. Let us not take for granted the freedoms that You have given all of us, even those who do not believe in You, and let us not forget to take time to remember everything that You have blessed us with. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.

God Bless You, I am praying for you,

Christina
