Message: In Due Order

Hello My Friend,

You do not have to be very smart to realize that with everything going on in the world, even with so many walking away from Jesus, many are seeking God. The problem is, they are turning to the watered down, sugar coated contemporary churches that do not preach the true Gospel. They are not being fed with the truth, and this is why they are walking away from Jesus. In order to worship God we need to worship Him as He commands in His Word, any other way is creating a false god, and God will have no other gods before Him, especially the made up version of Him. Jesus said, [John 4:35-3  Say not ye, There are yet four months, and then cometh harvest? behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest.  36  And he that reapeth receiveth wages, and gathereth fruit unto life eternal: that both he that soweth and he that reapeth may rejoice together.]

Yes, the harvest is still white, many are looking for God, they want security, they want hope, they want to know if they are going to heaven when they die. Unless they hear the truth and admit they are sinners and headed for hell because of their sin, believe the Gospel of Christ, and confess that He alone is the only one who can save them, then they will die and end up in hell, no matter how much they worship God. He does not know them. David, so excited on what God was doing for him and the nation, felt that something was missing, the Ark of the Covenant of God. Remember, the last time it was even mentioned was when Samuel Judged Israel. David gathered up the leaders of Israel and asked if it was the right thing to do to bring the Ark into the city.

[I Chronicles 13:1-4  And David consulted with the captains of thousands and hundreds, and with every leader.  2  And David said unto all the congregation of Israel, If it seem good unto you, and that it be of the LORD our God, let us send abroad unto our brethren every where, that are left in all the land of Israel, and with them also to the priests and Levites which are in their cities and suburbs, that they may gather themselves unto us:  3  And let us bring again the ark of our God to us: for we enquired not at it in the days of Saul.  4  And all the congregation said that they would do so: for the thing was right in the eyes of all the people.]

[for the thing was right in the eyes of all the people.] Do you know how many of our leaders in Congress and including the president and Speaker of the House, who say they go to church, and pray. Let me tell you, the majority of them are worshiping God in breach. Religion does not save you, reading the Bible does not save you, ignorance does not save you, and David and all the of Israel learned that the hard way as they all gathered together to bring the Ark into the City of David.

[I Chronicles 13:6-10  And David went up, and all Israel, to Baalah, that is, to Kirjathjearim, which belonged to Judah, to bring up thence the ark of God the LORD, that dwelleth between the cherubims, whose name is called on it.  7  And they carried the ark of God in a new cart out of the house of Abinadab: and Uzza and Ahio drave the cart.  8  And David and all Israel played before God with all their might, and with singing, and with harps, and with psalteries, and with timbrels, and with cymbals, and with trumpets.  9  And when they came unto the threshingfloor of Chidon, Uzza put forth his hand to hold the ark; for the oxen stumbled.  10  And the anger of the LORD was kindled against Uzza, and he smote him, because he put his hand to the ark: and there he died before God.]

[and there he died before God.] The sad thing through the reign of Saul, it was probably after Samuel died, no one observe the Law. You can talk about God all you want, sing praises to Him, and pray to Him until you are blue in the face, unless you come to Him the correct way, which is only found through His Word, and can be found both Old and New Testaments, so, there is no excuse for anyone who seeks God to end up in hell, [Romans 10:11-12  For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.  12  For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him.]

Now, for the first time in his life, David knew exactly what it meant to fear God, and he definitely learned it the hard way, as I am sure the rest of them did as well. In fact, he was afraid of God that day, and left the Ark with Obededom, a Levite, [I Chronicles 13:12-14  And David was afraid of God that day, saying, How shall I bring the ark of God home to me?  13  So David brought not the ark home to himself to the city of David, but carried it aside into the house of Obededom the Gittite.  14  And the ark of God remained with the family of Obededom in his house three months. And the LORD blessed the house of Obededom, and all that he had.]

[And the LORD blessed the house of Obededom,] While Obededom and his family were blessed, not because they happened to be Levites, because of their faith, more often than we think, God will intervene and send miracles and mercies to those who are not saved. Why? So that they can learn the truth and accept His Son as their Saviour, nine times out of ten though, sadly, only one will actually accept Jesus, and it is not going to be the religious, [Luke 17:12-13,15-19  And as he entered into a certain village, there met him ten men that were lepers, which stood afar off:  13  And they lifted up their voices, and said, Jesus, Master, have mercy on us.  15  And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, and with a loud voice glorified God,  16  And fell down on his face at his feet, giving him thanks: and he was a Samaritan.  17  And Jesus answering said, Were there not ten cleansed? but where are the nine?  18  There are not found that returned to give glory to God, save this stranger.  19  And he said unto him, Arise, go thy way: thy faith hath made thee whole.]

You see, worshiping God is not that hard, we just need to know how and to obey what He commands. Now, also during those three months the surrounding nations heard that David became king and were responding, and the Philistines were not happy. They decided to attack Israel. [I Chronicles 14:1-2,8-10,12,17  Now Hiram king of Tyre sent messengers to David, and timber of cedars, with masons and carpenters, to build him an house.  2  And David perceived that the LORD had confirmed him king over Israel, for his kingdom was lifted up on high, because of his people Israel. 8  And when the Philistines heard that David was anointed king over all Israel, all the Philistines went up to seek David. And David heard of it, and went out against them.  9  And the Philistines came and spread themselves in the valley of Rephaim.  10  And David enquired of God, saying, Shall I go up against the Philistines? and wilt thou deliver them into mine hand? And the LORD said unto him, Go up; for I will deliver them into thine hand. 12  And when they had left their gods there, David gave a commandment, and they were burned with fire. 17  And the fame of David went out into all lands; and the LORD brought the fear of him upon all nations.]

[David gave a commandment, and they were burned with fire.] If we are going to worship God, accept the Gospel and ask Jesus to save us, then we must put away the false gods. Get rid of the false religion, get rid of the idols, and take the necessary steps to get rid of the sin once you come to realize what it is. God does not expect you to know what every sin is, He does expect you to repent when you discover what it is and if it is something hard to remove, seek His help to get rid of it. The key is getting in the Bible and studying it, [II Timothy 2:15-16  Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.  16  But shun profane and vain babblings: for they will increase unto more ungodliness.]

My boyfriend is a perfect example of a babe in Christ, while he should know the meat, it is too much for him so, I feed him the milk of God’s Word, [I Corinthians 3:1-3]. Yet he still wanted to know why we cannot do everything we want if we are saved. Well, last night I had a break through, well, God got through to him, he finally understood what I have been trying to convey to him. Yes, we can hear the Gospel, get saved, and put away the false gods, but we must also be willing to hear what the rest of the Bible tells us and follow it. This is not to keep our salvation, it is to keep our sanity and also to keep us from suffering more than we need to. Remember, we have two cups that we face, the cup of pain, which brings us to Christ, and the cup of goodness that comes as we endure the pain. We would not be on so much pain if we just listened to God more often, and we are all guilty of that. And now that David took the time study the Law, he learned, and I just learned this today too (you ask God to teach you something new and He does), Uzziah was a Levite [I Chronicles 6], but he was not sanctified. David tells them what they needed to do to get the Ark to the City of David.

[I Chronicles 15:2-4,11-15,  Then David said, None ought to carry the ark of God but the Levites: for them hath the LORD chosen to carry the ark of God, and to minister unto him for ever.  3  And David gathered all Israel together to Jerusalem, to bring up the ark of the LORD unto his place, which he had prepared for it.  4  And David assembled the children of Aaron, and the Levites: 11  And David called for Zadok and Abiathar the priests, and for the Levites, for Uriel, Asaiah, and Joel, Shemaiah, and Eliel, and Amminadab,  12  And said unto them, Ye are the chief of the fathers of the Levites: sanctify yourselves, both ye and your brethren, that ye may bring up the ark of the LORD God of Israel unto the place that I have prepared for it.  13  For because ye did it not at the first, the LORD our God made a breach upon us, for that we sought him not after the due order.  14  So the priests and the Levites sanctified themselves to bring up the ark of the LORD God of Israel. 15  And the children of the Levites bare the ark of God upon their shoulders with the staves thereon, as Moses commanded according to the word of the LORD.]

[For because ye did it not at the first, the LORD our God made a breach upon us,] This is exactly why many will stand before Jesus, thinking that they are saved by their religion or the false doctrine they received, and He will tell them to depart, and He never knew them, [Matthew 7:22-23  Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?  23  And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.]

Now, once the Levites were sanctified, God was ready to accept them, and all their efforts. David and the elders met at Obededom’s house to retrieve the Ark. [I Chronicles 15:25-28  So David, and the elders of Israel, and the captains over thousands, went to bring up the ark of the covenant of the LORD out of the house of Obededom with joy.  26  And it came to pass, when God helped the Levites that bare the ark of the covenant of the LORD, that they offered seven bullocks and seven rams.  27  And David was clothed with a robe of fine linen, and all the Levites that bare the ark, and the singers, and Chenaniah the master of the song with the singers: David also had upon him an ephod of linen.  28  Thus all Israel brought up the ark of the covenant of the LORD with shouting, and with sound of the cornet, and with trumpets, and with cymbals, making a noise with psalteries and harps.]

[Thus all Israel brought up the ark of the covenant of the LORD with shouting,] It was literally a parade, with music and people well, believers, marching through the streets, singing praised to God, while the Levites led the way to the special tent that David made for it, [I Chronicles 16:1-4,7  So they brought the ark of God, and set it in the midst of the tent that David had pitched for it: and they offered burnt sacrifices and peace offerings before God.  2  And when David had made an end of offering the burnt offerings and the peace offerings, he blessed the people in the name of the LORD.  3  And he dealt to every one of Israel, both man and woman, to every one a loaf of bread, and a good piece of flesh, and a flagon of wine.  4  And he appointed certain of the Levites to minister before the ark of the LORD, and to record, and to thank and praise the LORD God of Israel: 7  Then on that day David delivered first this psalm to thank the LORD into the hand of Asaph and his brethren.]

[and set it in the midst of the tent that David had pitched for it:] Did you notice something? This was not the original Tabernacle, that had not be set up for a very long time. When David mentioned the tabernacle in his Psalms, he was referring to the house that God dwelt. Now, notice something else, this was the first time since Saul that sacrificial offerings had been offered up to God. The entire day, was as I am sure an incredible sight as well as a revival, not to mention a feast that everyone was able to participate in, which is a great reminder to every believer of their invitation to a feast awaiting them, a wedding feast as Jesus takes His bride.

[Matthew 22:2-3,8-9,11-14  The kingdom of heaven is like unto a certain king, which made a marriage for his son,  3  And sent forth his servants to call them that were bidden to the wedding: and they would not come. 8  Then saith he to his servants, The wedding is ready, but they which were bidden were not worthy.  9  Go ye therefore into the highways, and as many as ye shall find, bid to the marriage. 11  And when the king came in to see the guests, he saw there a man which had not on a wedding garment:  12  And he saith unto him, Friend, how camest thou in hither not having a wedding garment? And he was speechless.  13  Then said the king to the servants, Bind him hand and foot, and take him away, and cast him into outer darkness; there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.  14  For many are called, but few are chosen.]

Jesus Christ Magnified: [I Chronicles 16:1-2  So they brought the ark of God, and set it in the midst of the tent that David had pitched for it: and they offered burnt sacrifices and peace offerings before God.  2  And when David had made an end of offering the burnt offerings and the peace offerings, he blessed the people in the name of the LORD.]

Today’s Prayer: God, Thank You for Your amazing mercy and grace to give us a way to be able to worship You without consequence. In order to worship You we must be sanctified and thanks to Your Son all we need to do to believe in the Gospel and receive Him as our Saviour. Thank You Jesus, for such a sacrifice, I know that You are my only hope of salvation. Lord, Lead me and guide me, help me to learn to ask You for everything and to listen for Your voice telling me what I need to do at all times. Let me be a witness and a testimony and tell all You put on my heart to tell them they need You too. Keep me in Your Word, not only to read it, but to study it, and follow it so that Your blessings are continuous, and I do not cause a breach in our relationship. I ask these things in Your name, Jesus. Amen.

God Bless You, I am praying for you,

Christina
