Message: Bought With A Price

Hello My Friend,

One of the greatest testimonies of the true Christian faith are the blessings that we receive from God through both His grace alone and our faithfulness to Him. When we see God blessing us it is like a natural high, like when Hannah was praying to God for a son, she was filled with so much of His Spirit that she appeared drunk. We see the same thing happened at the day of Pentecost, when the Holy Spirit fell on upon the Apostles, and as they spoke in their own language everyone understood in their own that they appeared drunk. Saved, born again Christians underestimate the power of the Holy Spirit that dwells within them, the key to unleashing it is learning what God’s will for you is. “Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is. And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit; Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord; Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ; Submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God.” – Ephesians 5:17-21.

Submitting yourselves one to another” You know, as much as we would like to believe that we can handle the cares of life on our own we cannot. I am a woman of great independence and pride when it comes to getting the things I need, I would rather work three jobs than take handouts from people. God has greatly humbled me over the years, and what I think as weakness, God thinks as my greatest strength, for to be dependent on Him is no weakness at all, in fact, His strength is revealed, which is what He wants to begin with. Sometimes God’s will does not seem fair, we do not want to go through so many struggles to see His blessings, but we must understand that we were bought with a price, we belong to Him, so, it is His will be done or we will struggle until He brings us home. As Moses finished speaking to Israel he taught them a song that they were to remember and sing often. It was not a typical uplifting song, but a sad song, which was to remind them that God is a just God.

He is the Rock, his work is perfect: for all his ways are judgment: a God of truth and without iniquity, just and right is he. They have corrupted themselves, their spot is not the spot of his children: they are a perverse and crooked generation. Do ye thus requite the LORD, O foolish people and unwise? is not he thy father that hath bought thee? hath he not made thee, and established thee? Remember the days of old, consider the years of many generations: ask thy father, and he will shew thee; thy elders, and they will tell thee. When the most High divided to the nations their inheritance, when he separated the sons of Adam, he set the bounds of the people according to the number of the children of Israel. For the LORD’S portion is his people; Jacob is the lot of his inheritance.” – Deuteronomy 32:4-9.

is not he thy father that hath bought thee?Do you see that? God’s people are not just some random people, He bought them with His own life, and because He bought them they are His inheritance, and it is solely upon their faith. It has always been this way, if salvation has ever been about works then no one would be saved because we are a perverse and crooked people, meaning stubborn and rebellious. “What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s.” – I Corinthians 6:19-20.

therefore glorify God in your body,Being in God’s will does not turn us into defeated people, it turns us into a victorious people as we learn to be solely dependent on Him. We must understand that as stubborn and rebellious as we are sometimes, we still belong to God, and He will never stop defending us. Think of God as a mother bear who protects her babies, if anyone tries to harm them she will attack. Moses blesses Israel before he leaves.

And this is the blessing, wherewith Moses the man of God blessed the children of Israel before his death. And he said, The LORD came from Sinai, and rose up from Seir unto them; he shined forth from mount Paran, and he came with ten thousands of saints: from his right hand went a fiery law for them. Yea, he loved the people; all his saints are in thy hand: and they sat down at thy feet; every one shall receive of thy words. Moses commanded us a law, even the inheritance of the congregation of Jacob. And he was king in Jeshurun, when the heads of the people and the tribes of Israel were gathered together. Happy art thou, O Israel: who is like unto thee, O people saved by the LORD, the shield of thy help, and who is the sword of thy excellency! and thine enemies shall be found liars unto thee; and thou shalt tread upon their high places.” – Deuteronomy 33:1-5,29.

O people saved by the LORD,” Remember, God is not speaking solely of the children of Israel here, this is His nation as a whole, believers of all the children of the world coming together as one nation under God. Jesus reminded the Jews, “As the Father knoweth me, even so know I the Father: and I lay down my life for the sheep. And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd.” – John 10:15-16. While the children of Abraham were the seed of promise, not all of them are of Israel. “Not as though the word of God hath taken none effect. For they are not all Israel, which are of Israel: Neither, because they are the seed of Abraham, are they all children: but, In Isaac shall thy seed be called. That is, They which are the children of the flesh, these are not the children of God: but the children of the promise are counted for the seed.” – Romans 9:6-8.

these are not the children of God:” While God is Creator of all, He is not Father of all, that is solely done upon their faith in Jesus Christ. Those who reject Christ corrupt themselves and are usually the most rebellious, foolish, and unwise people about God, they literally make up their own god and religions. Sometimes being in the will of God means that He will forbid us to do some things, but we must not get angry or fret about it because we have much more to look forward to. God sent Moses up to Mount Pisgah, to view the promised land before he died. The land flowing with milk and honey, could been seen, but he could not enter, and although he never got to step foot on the promised land, there was none other that knew God face to face as Moses did.

And Moses went up from the plains of Moab unto the mountain of Nebo, to the top of Pisgah, that is over against Jericho. And the LORD shewed him all the land of Gilead, unto Dan, And all Naphtali, and the land of Ephraim, and Manasseh, and all the land of Judah, unto the utmost sea, And the south, and the plain of the valley of Jericho, the city of palm trees, unto Zoar. And the LORD said unto him, This is the land which I sware unto Abraham, unto Isaac, and unto Jacob, saying, I will give it unto thy seed: I have caused thee to see it with thine eyes, but thou shalt not go over thither. So Moses the servant of the LORD died there in the land of Moab, according to the word of the LORD. And Joshua the son of Nun was full of the spirit of wisdom; for Moses had laid his hands upon him: and the children of Israel hearkened unto him, and did as the LORD commanded Moses. And there arose not a prophet since in Israel like unto Moses, whom the LORD knew face to face,” – Deuteronomy 34:1-5,9-10.

And there arose not a prophet since in Israel like unto Moses,The world sees prophets as some kind of fortune tellers, but the truth is they are mere servants filled with the Holy Spirit, whom God sent to tell of the judgments, blessings, and curses that come and are about to come. There are still prophets today, we do not tell the future, we tell of what is to come as the Word of God foretells. Yes, God still gives visions today, for without vision we do perish, but they are not some physic power, they are Holy Spirit power, and usually revealed as we read His Word. Remember, we are bought with a price, we are not servant of men, but of God and are not to take that lightly. Art thou called being a servant? care not for it: but if thou mayest be made free, use it rather. For he that is called in the Lord, being a servant, is the Lord’s freeman: likewise also he that is called, being free, is Christ’s servant. Ye are bought with a price; be not ye the servants of men.” – I Corinthians 7:21-23.

Jesus Christ Magnified: “Of the Rock that begat thee thou art unmindful, and hast forgotten God that formed thee.” – Deuteronomy 32:18.

Today’s Prayer: Jesus, Thank You for purchasing us with Your blood, because You gave Your life for us we can boldly say that You belong to us and we belong to You. Thank You for watching over us, never leaving nor forsaking us. There really is nothing we can do to thank You, but let You live in and through us. Lord, give us Your power, strength, and wisdom to withstand the evils of the day and help us to live our lives by Your example. In Your name, Jesus. Amen.

God Bless You, I am praying for you,

Christina
